I Loved It

I Purchased all my baby furniture in this store, It took me a long time to choose from the overwarmming selection, but I found exactly what I was looking for.
I actualy spend a good amount of time in the three stores, because I live in Sugarland and started over there but the sales peple sent me to the galleria store where they have a bigger selection and at the en I went to the biggest store on I45. They had a very good customer service in every single store.
I ordered furniture from one manufacture that took a long time to get here, but the sale person made sure they let me know how long it was going to take for the furniture to come in and it did not take longer than that.
I had a wonderful experience in babys 1st and I recomend everyone to go and take a look on their products.
- Pros: Very Nice Sales Staff
- Cons: Everything Has To Be orther, So Start Looking Early.

I should have learned my lesson the first time I had a problem with this store when I ordered my first baby's furniture there. Even though I ordered the furniture 5 months before the baby arrived and was told it could take anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks to be delivered, the furniture took over 4 months to be delivered......I almost had the baby and had no place to put the baby to sleep. Not only it arrived late but some pieces I ordered came in damaged so I had to yet wait over a month more to get the part replaced. Once I became pregnant with my second child I decided to give the store a 2nd chance as they assured me my first experience was not normal so I did. I ordered my baby boy's furntiture and not only did the furniture arrived after the 10 - 12 week window but again pieces came in damaged and no replacement was available for over a month after. I then decided I would never go to that store again and would ensure no one I knew would either but to my surprise I had to call them again to order the toddler rails which I could not get anywhere else since I ordered the crib from them. I placed my order on saturday, April 25, 2009 and was told the rails would take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks which I thought was crazy for a simple set of rails but assume worst case scenario I would get them in 8 weeks.........crazy but again had no choice since I coudl not find the piece anywhere else. I called them about 8 weeks into the order to check the status and was reminded the order could take anywhere from 6 - 12 weeks so I assume then I was yet again going to be the lucky customer to get it right at 12 weeks. Well, today, July 21, 2009......a few days shy of 13 weeks since I placed the order I contacted Baby's 1st (main store) to find out again where my rails where and was told they could not get me any information until next week as the manufacturer was on its winter break. What?? Are you kidding me?? Needless to say I cancelled the order and made sure they knew how frustrated I was. Well their customer service answer to all of it was "We are doing what we can". Are you kidding me? What a joke!! How sad that the owners of this furniture store allow this to happen and do nothing about it or maybe they don't know this goes on in their stores as most likely they are the kind of business owners that make so much money out of this business that have someone else deal with customer complains and they can not be bothered as long as money is coming in. I really hope it comes the time when this store is affected hard by customer refusing to purchase anything there due to their lack of professionalism and honesty. I know my comments won't go anywhere and that store will contnue to treat customer they way I was treated but at least I hope my review can reach those that have no other way of knowing what goes on at that store behind all the beautiful furniture.

My husband and I were so excited to find this store in Sugar Land. We found at least 3 furniture sets that we fell in love with. they were very busy on Thursday when we were there, but the sales staff made sure we got all the information we needed and we felt so at home.
they seemed as excited as we were! Now we are deciding on which set to get, but my husband absolutely fell in love with the Orbit stroller and we did purchase that and took it home. I highly recommend looking at this stroller and car seat. It was an investment, but I had 2 friends who have it and they love it. The car seat swivels in the base so it is really easy to get in and out of the car. We are going to register at this store as well.
- Pros: So much awesome products to choose from
- Cons: closed on Sundays, but their Galleria store is open
Poor customer service

Terrible customer service. Don't purchase from them unless you have time to waste. If they say they are going to call you, they won't. If you call them back, expect them to say we will call you right back, but then don't expect ot hear from them. If you like keeping your fingers crossed that you will get what you paid for, order from them. If you want satisfaction, don't bother with them.

Be prepared to shop for HOURS!! We were at the location in Spring yesterday and what a selection! My husband I spent two hours in the store! We walked the store, looked at everything and found the perfect furniture. They are delivering it this coming week and I can't wait! I highly recommend Baby's First!
- Pros: Knowledgable staff, huge selection, some stuff in stock and lots of specials!
- Cons: Closed Sundays (we went last week and they were closed)

I purchased two beds and two mattresses from Baby's 1st today. They are going to take 6-8 weeks to come. I almost went to Gallery Furniture instead because they didn't have what I wanted in stock and I HAVE TO HAVE these beds by next week because we are adopting unexpectedly. Just as I was leaving one of the sales people caught me and I explained what was going on. She talked to her manger and they were able to loan me two beds until the ones I want get here. What a great service. I can't imagine I'd have gotten the same quality had I gone elsewhere. What a relief! Tanks Baby's 1st!
- Pros: Huge selection, VERY knowledged staff (and they did not make me feel bad for being there half an hour after they closed!)
- Cons: Almost everything has to be ordered.. so be sure to shop early if you have the time.

I agree with Pharmmom...the Sugar Land location's customer service is awful. I ordered my furniture in late June only to find out that part of the order will not be shipped until mid-October! By estimation that is a 16 week wait. My babies are already here but I have nowhere to put their clothes. Initially , I was told my furniture would come in anywhere between 8 - 10 weeks. I talked to one of the sales people there and she told me that they were not responsible for the manufacturer's delays...I disagree. Baby's 1st is the manufacturer's direct representative so they should be ready to work with the customer and figure out a solution. Instead I get the "we're not responsible" treatment and no accountability after I have spent thousands of dollars there. I am done buying anything from that store.

This Store did a wonderful job in helping me with everything I needed. I have no complaints or bad comments towards this store. They helped me with everithing I needed at the time I ordered it , Tara Forame was my carseat helper, and was wonderful, sweet and honest. If I had to buy another carseat on order new furniture for my kids I would come back to Baby's First in a heartbeat.

I have had a very bad customer service experience with the Sugarland store. I ordered a crib from them and was told that the crib should be in within 6-10 weeks of the order date. I called them 10 weeks later and they have been putting me off, not answering phone calls and have been extremely rude. Each time I call they extend the time another two weeks. One of the sales people told me that I should just get my money back!!!! Unfortunatly I don't have the time to wait. My baby is due soon and I don't have a crib. Beware... they are great salespeople in that they will tell a good story to get you to buy something, but if you have a problem, forget getting any help or any apology or any straight answers from anyone. I won't recommend them to any of my friends.
- Cons: Very rude sales staff if you ever need help, don't return phone calls
