it's a piece of cake,

to bake a pretty cake. I've only tried the carrot cake, but it is the best I've EVER had. Huge, moist, and full of pecans. Good for special occasions (too expensive for evey day)
dessert

The best fudge pie your mouth will ever touch; smooth slices melt in your mouth. This is always a must during the holidays. There are many desserts here that can be given out as great gifts; you will not be dissapointed.
A playroom atmosphere perks up this spot for light meals and sumptuous cakes.

In Short
Sherbet-colored walls and paper butterflies on the ceiling create a whimsical atmosphere. The cafe menu features wraps, salads and sandwiches, including chicken salad studded with raisins, pecans and a hint of curry. Request the apple-raisin-pecan bread. Crumbled Fritos add crunch to the Southwest wrap. For dessert, there are cookies, pies, cheesecakes and cakes (whole or by the slice). The opera cake is a tower of sponge cake, espresso-spiked buttercream and fudge-mocha-flavored ganache.
Great environment

Every time I go to the Dessert Gallery, I spend twice the time there I intended! The environment is conducive to sitting around with a group of friends and chatting about anything and everything. It is made for hanging out and the cakes, while there is not a large selection, are excellent. The Dessert Gallery provides board games, which are fun at any age to play with a bunch of your friends. Being a Vietnamese person, I was impressed to see they had Vietnamese coffee on the menu. When I tried it, it was a little weaker than I expected but quite good. The decor is fun and whimsical, and I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a fun evening with friends or family.
- Pros: great hangout spot, board games, great cake
- Cons: hard to pull out of parking
Better than Sex and the City
by mshate at Citysearch
After shamelessly watching way too many Sex and the City episodes, I decided I needed more indulgence of the fattening kind. What better place than a gallery of desserts..just what I needed. There is no menu for the desserts, which would be nice instead of gawking over the other customers shoulders for a peek, but I figured what the heck, means it has to be good! I fell in love instantly with the French Vanilla 3-tier Diner style (betty crocker eat your own heart out!) cake. I topped it off w/ chocolate dripped on top (not extra $). Coffee was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere was cozy and fun, not trendy and sterile. I recommend for a late night cheat...or spill over from House of Pies..if all you want is cake.
- Pros: topping not extra $, games to play, quick service
- Cons: overpriced coffee, cake too sweet, need menu of desserts
