Pretentious Posers, bad drinks, overpriced

I've been there countless times. Loaded with pretentious posers willing to pay for overpriced drinks. Only roam through when looking for friends who have wandered off from The Stag's Head.

the mecca for drinks and a chill spot. ive been going for 2 and a half years and its never felt so different till now. little by little i started to notice a type a crowd getting bigger by the weeks. its been declared a hood joint and i dont like it. the word is just gonna spread and more will come. i still go because its the best ;)

Great After Hour After Work

Great place to go after work to have drinks. It's best to get there early because seating is limited. Drinks are on the high end but they are very much worth it. If you're looking for some where to hang until it's time to go to the real party this would be a great starting place.

Great place to relax & chat

I went here based on the martini reviews, and they really do have the best ones in town! So many to choose from, but if you tell the bartender what you like- they'll know the perfect martini for you. The place was quite small, but great if your going out with your spouse or girlfriends to relax and chat. I really liked this place, the only thing that creeped me out were the guys that were there- just didn't feel very safe... Overall I'd go back with a group or my husband...
- Pros: Best Martinis I've ever had, cute & cozy place
- Cons: hard parking, tiny, not safe young women

Great pseudo-dive bar. I wouldn't exactly call it a dive bar or a lounge but it's somewhere in between. They serve the strongest drinks in the city hands down and super-friendly bartenders; of course, this doesn't mean the drinks are cheap! There's always great characters at the "d-port" as we affectionately know it and everyone for the most part is very friendly and engaging. During the week they have great local DJ's spinning, dropping everything from downtempo to deep house. A definite place to check out to hang out with friends and have a good evening!

depends what you are expecting

classy, mid-town upscale? no. half-way to a dive, but we're in a recession anyway so why be pretentious? the drinks are strong, the croud is varied and interesting. spotty. on the right night it rocks. most are couples, so maybe not the best place to meet singles on the hunt...i guess single women like bakerstreet or sherlocks, as cheesy as they are, because they appear to be 'safer.' anyway, it's a fun place to have a late night drink and people-watch. drinks are doubles.
- Pros: varied croud, strong drinks, good dj nights, intimate atmosphere
- Cons: gritty retro decour, attracts wanna-be players on the prowl

Quality Lounging???

Went there with a friend. I was so disappointed as I had heard read reviews about this place and then another place recommended it. I do not know how many years back was he there. The sitting arrangement was dreary and dingy. The drinks were ok but certainly not award wining! The so called patio was so shamefully gross with disgusting chairs. This place certainly needs a make over! Was not impressed with the crowd either, more hippy kind.

Identity Crisis

This place does not know if it wants to be a hip lounge or a Dive. Well it looks like a dive and it is very tiny. Not the kind of place Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis would go to I assure you. The Men's room had one toilet. Thats it. No bathroom attendant.The clientele was mostly black guys with white or hispanic women. They have a cheesy "patio" if you want to call it that. Its a chain with some chairs behind it. Bartenders were friendly. I am not particulary a fan of Martinis so I could care less about having one. The clientele looked to moslty be drinking Light domestic beers when I went! One girl ordered a martini and spilled it because she did not know how to pick it up. They charged me 8.25 I believe for a Crown and Coke. Overpriced!! If you like Martinis I suppose this place makes good ones because everyone who had one raved about them. Good parking and other bars nearby and Cactus Music if you don't like it. Had a cheesy video of a fireplace going. What is this 1989?? The bar did look well stocked. This is not a place to meet single people. Did not see any women inside without a man with them. Really not that much to this place but I guess what Lounge is? I prefer Jet Lounge downtown. I give it two stars because it is okay but drinks are overpriced and it is too small. I would only go with a big group and get there early so you can feel like you "run" the place. Bartender ordered a Pizza and the whole crew ate it behind the bar when I was there. Kind of tacky. Waitress girl looked kind of hot but too thin and looked bored and anxious, kept looking at cell phone. I guess the good thing about it is you do kind of feel comfortable because it is a relaxed atmosphere.

Great dive bar

What are these snobby pleople complaining about? This is a great dive bar. It's set up to look retro and it works. It has the greatest, strong, did I say strong, drinks in town. Don't come her e and complain about the floors, the patrons, or who goes in the restroom, you come here to have a great drink in a cool place. If you a too fastidious to enjoy this place, then go to a midtown snot bar and pay $9 for drink. Come here for good ressonable drinks and cool vibs.

Not safe for young women

Good service and strong drinks, BUT I did not feel safe. Too many questionable types running in and out of the restroom doing something the police would not approve of...Take a guess
