What a waste...

After reading the reviews here on CitySearch I decided to try this place out. Total waste of money and all around bad experience. The pizza was bland, very little sauce, and the dough tasted like a bagel. Will not be going back and am not sure how this place has been around so long.

Best pizza ever.

Of all the pizza I've had, Star Pizza is my favorite. I've eaten there many times, and the quality is consistent. They make the best margherita pizza I've ever had, and it is my favorite there. The second best is the Joe's, which has spinach and garlic. Always go for the thick wheat crust - it's the best. The atmosphere is relatively nice and the servers have never disappointed me. My sister had her rehearsal dinner here and they made some vegan pizzas for my brother in law's friends. I went out of my way to take my friends here when they visited Houston.

I have always been a fan of Star Pizza since I learned about it, but for some reason never tried any of their specialty pizzas till recently. I would highly recommend the Grilled Chicken Alfredo Pizza, and the Salsa Verde Pizza. I can't really do any better job describing them other than seriously delicious and worth trying. I also just tried the Salsa Verde as a Focaccia Pizza which is an 8 inch individual size on focaccia bread (perfect for one) and it was wonderful as well. The Margherita Focaccia pizza is also great (haven't tried that one on their new york style crust but I'm sure it would be equally good).

INCREDIBLE PIZZA!!!!!

the pizza is really the star of this place- exquisite crust, fresh toppings, tasty sauce. the spinach and artichoke deep dish is my favorite- along w/the brocolli and cauliflower. decent caesar and great lunch buffet- a real value! the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable- you're not rushed and the service is superb- the staff is very friendly!

• Pros: the food!!!!!, service, relaxed atmosphere
• Cons: pasta is so-so

STAR The Pizza of Pizzas

The first time I tried Star Pizza I was working at the hospital! From that point on I could not get enough of Joe's Pizza! The crust is absolutely marvalous as it practically melts in your mouth and the ingrediants are always fresh and tasty! I don't think there has ever been a time when I did not have to wait for a table! The food is that fresh and delicious! It is well worth the money and the wait if you want good tasting fresh pizza every time!

• Pros: freshness, friendly staff, great for any age!
• Cons: waiting time, slightly expensive, no salad bar

Love it!

I don't even like pizza very muc, but I'll always go to this place. The pizza is awesome and you can get it with different crusts and toppings. The drink glasses are HUGE so they dont leave you waiting for a drink while you wait! Very family friendly!

All you can eat pizza salad and Iced Tea for $6.50. What a deal. Add in the fact that the Pizza is outstanding and how can you go wrong.

Life Altering

My husband had never been to Star-I recommended the spinach/garlic pizza-he thought he had died and gone to heaven-(He is 100% Italian)Now he wants no other and we live 15 miles from the nearest store! They sometimes get too much garlic, but the last time it was perfect!!! They need to build one in Missouri City!

Not sure where the negative ratings are coming from for Star, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. My wife and I have ordered countless times from Star as have a ton of our friends...we've always had great pizza. The deep dish wheat crust is awesome! The Starburst is our favorite pizza (minus the onions as they put a lot on their at times). Great location to eat especially sitting on the deck with great fall or spring weather. Enjoy!

I love this place! Their whole wheat crust is awesome.. the Joe's Pizza rules.. spinach & garlic.. so good!
