Good for breakfast, decent for lunch or dinner
by jcrow29
I was most impressed with breakfast. Large portions, well seasoned, fairly quick delivery of orders. I had the American breakfast- 2 eggs/hashbrowns/bacon/ biscuit. I didn't eat, but looked at with envy, the steak and eggs combo. That looked amazing. The pecan walfes also caught my attention. Thing it over, this Goode company restaurant is probably undervalued. It's not as busy as some of its sister chains, yet the food is always good. It's not really a date place/but a good place to catch up with old friends.
- Pros: low key/good food
- Cons: parking- on the weekend can be a pain.
Best Burger In Texas
by lance912
There's a lot of restaurants that claim to have the best burger in Texas, but this one actually does. Simple yet amazing. Their Mexican food is also pretty good.
- Pros: Burgers
This Goode idea serves up two top Texas food groups under one roadside roof.

In Short
Place your order at the busy counter and nestle indoors or snag a table on the funky, neon-lit patio. This home away from home for hunters, families and quick solo diners also features assorted enchiladas and fine chicken tacos encased in thick, homemade tortillas along with buckets full of zingy pico de gallo and smooth salsa on the fixings bar. Hearty, sizzling grilled platters of chicken, beef fajitas, pork chops, quail and catfish come with mounds of vegetable-packed Mexican rice, astounding guacamole and creamy refried beans.
Awesome Fajita & Eggs
by chuckies
I only go there for brunch during the weekends and usually order the fajita & eggs with a side of chips and salsa. It is different than most Mexican or Tex-Mex places, but a good different. It does get crowded there at brunch and you'll have to wait in line but the service is fast and the place is big enough to seat the large crowd.
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: Parking
Best Breakfast in Houston
by jwlodge
This is by-far...the best breakfast in Houston. You cant go wrong with the wonderful waffles or my favorite, the huevos con napalitos. Also, be sure to try the cinnamon-chocolate shakes, they are out of this world. Their burgers are also amazing. 2 words-- Mesquite-cooked
- Pros: crowded (yes, good)
- Cons: parking, pricey
Good(e) Quality food!
by drake
Excellent beef fajitas, mesquite burgers, and enchiladas.
The breakfast ribeye steak is great....order it a la carte (it's cheaper).
Large assortment of beer and other beverages.
However, they are stingy with the tortillas and you shouldn't have to pay for chips & salsa.
Can be expensive for families.
- Pros: Good quality, Great fajitas, Great burgers
- Cons: Sometimes crowded, Pricey for families
BEST mesquite burgers
by jws1
I have only eaten the mesquite burgers and they are great. We live in louisiana and eat there everytime we get to houston. about 15 times a year and we will eat there both days of the weekend we are in Houston. I have sent several of my friends from La to eat there and now it is there favorite place in Houston also. The only complaint I have is the price for a family of 4 is very high for burgers.
- Pros: mesquite burgers, service
- Cons: parking, PRICE
A must for breakfast
by mac8111
Although yes it is very crowded usually(what good place to eat isn't?), I say you have to try Goode Co. The waffles are remarkable. A hint of cinnamon and pecans take these things to a new level. There are several different type of egg & meat plates.
Slow, and food's not worth it
by jim1126
Every time I have come here (3 times) I have had to wait in a long line to order, and the food has been achingly slow in being ready. And, really, it's only average. Plus it's pricey.

I think what you pick for breakfast here is important. The Hunter's special with jalepeno jenison sausage, Texas Toast and 'spepcial' country fried potatoes is the best breakfast I've eaten in Houston. On the other hand, my wife was not impressed with the Migas.
- Pros: Venison Sausage, Price
- Cons: Crowded
