Food overated !
by alicem619 at Citysearch
I used to go to Le Peep all the time. Food has always been fine. I read all of the great reviews. So I went for the Belgium waffle. The waffle was so over cooked and was falling a part. The fruit was old as well. I don't have a problem paying premium price for great food. Today was not the case. Maybe it was an off day for them.
Excellent food, value, and service!

On a suggestion from my boss, my husband and our friend had brunch there today. While only marginally more expensive than some of it's competitors, Le Peep makes up for those extra pennies by providing much better food and fabulous service. There were 2 omni omeletes (about 8.25) and a lumberjack breakfast (just under 8) ordered. My husband and our friend were VERY satisfied with their omeletes, and my lumberjack was HUGE and delicious! We've been looking for a non-Denny's/IHOP place to have weekend brunch, and I think we've definitely found it. Just be aware that you may have a short wait for a table. We waited about 20 minutes (which, believe it or not, was the time we were quoted), but there's plenty of seating for those waiting, which was appreciated.
- Pros: Food, Value, Service
- Cons: Shares a parking lot w/ other fairly busy places, so finding a place can be a trick.
Forget Denny's!!

Mom wanted breakfast, the kid's wanted lunch.....the answer? LE PEEP! We had a short wait and enjoyed the complimentary coffee bar. The menu had so many scrumptous choices! We enjoyed fast, friendly service and a delicious meal for about the same price as a chain-style diner. We'll be back!
- Pros: complimentary coffee bar
- Cons: parking a bit tricky, but...it's a popular place for Sunday brunch
Breakfast-lunch spot servies up local favorites.

Neighborhood types map out their morning game plans over eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy or french toast. Menu items have catchy names like the Zapata frittata: an open-faced omelette with chorizo, onions, green peppers, sour cream, cheese and salsa. Salads, burgers and pasta round out the menu for lunch.
Best Breakfast in Houston

This is the best breakfast in Houston. I love the warm friendly staff and food came out fast.
I will never go anywhere else for breakfast.
Great "safe" breakfast spot

Overall just a great place for breakfast. Hard to bring someone that won't find something they like. Large menu selection, including healthy options. Not greasy spoonish. I love their whole wheat pancakes!
- Pros: Selection, Quality, Value
Yummy in the tummy!

I go there for the great light and airy Belgian waffles. I also like the coffee and the service!
Actually, it is the only place we go for breakfast.
- Pros: Food, coffee
- Cons: tables to close
Le Peep, Le Good

I always enjoy eating here on Sunday mornings. The food is great and healthy! The service staff is always pleasant. Even on Sundays, when Le Peep is at it's busiest, we usually wait no more than 20 minutes for a table. Love this place!!
Just a Glorified Denny's

Le Peep is nothing more than a Denny's or IHOP with a fancy name. There's nothing special about it and the wait is way too long.
