Best pizza ever!

by mrrciv

LOVE LOVE LOVE Spanky's Pizza! I live up north and make the long drive down just to eat here. The restaurant has a great, comfortable atmosphere. Add in a margarita or beer and you've got a winner!

  • Pros: great pizza! great baked spaghetti, service, parking, inexpensive

Love this pizza!!!

by NessaLynnMac

The pizza from here is a lot better than Dominos and Pizza Hut put together. I loved this pizza place when I was a kid and I love it now that I'm older. I also love their cheese sticks. This place ROCKS!

Ain't what she used to be...

by ms_liz_ms

My best friend and I used to go to Spanky's all the time. It's been a while since we've been there, so I decided to stop by with some friends. It ain't the same. Food was not as good, service was poor, and I would not go again.

Super customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by droutte2002

This is one of the best eateries in the city of Houston, I have lived here most of my life (over 40 years) and I lived near here most of that time. I recently visited Spanky's and it was like coming home. I had not visited for more than 20 years, and after seeing the sign with a new promotion, I decided to give it a try, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by the fact the nothing had really changed, except the faces and they were like old friends. The food was great and the service was even better. Although they are known for their outstanding home made pizza, the buffalo wings are superb. Go on Monday's, during football season, they have a great wing special. The margarita's are pretty good too! Good place to take your kids, the staff makes even the smallest patrons feel special. Good place to let your "hair down" and be yourself.

  • Pros: Customer service, food, ambience, kid friendly
  • Cons: Not alot of space

Best Pizza and Great Pasta!

by rhickey

A great place to eat for anyone. A good place to bring your family, anytime. Good wait staff who are attentive, but not so much that they become irratating, and they always have great smiles, and are friendly too. They have some of the best Pizza anywhere, and some of the best past anywhere. The place is a little noisy, but people are having fun being together. There are T.V.s everywhere with sports programs but the volume is not to loud if your interest is not with sports. Just a great place to eat.

Best Pizza Ever

by mrspyt

I was born and raised in South East Houston and Spanky's has always been a favorite. I have now moved to Spring, TX and still drive all the way to Spanky's for pizza, a margarita, and get some lasanga to go. I have been going here since 1984 and now I have my son hooked and he's only 4. Through out the years nothing has changed this will always be my favorite.

Gulfgate landmark for thin crust, hand-tossed pizza and family-friendly atmosphere since 1976.

by Contributor

In Short
Folks in Southeast Houston know that Spanky's has long provided regulars with hand-tossed pizzas in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Diners seat themselves at one of the many booths scattered throughout the cheekily decorated restaurant, vying for a television vantage point on game days. The big draw is the thin crust pizza, although the menu also features solid classic Italian dishes like lasagna, spaghetti, chicken parmesan and fettucine alfredo. Salads, burgers, chicken wings and po-boys round out the offerings.

Food was good but service was poor

by houtxmom

Pizza and was very good, but the service was not. We had to chase down the waitress for everything. Place was not at all packed so that is not an excuse. Price was good but we will not go back.

  • Pros: Food, thin crust pizza, pasta
  • Cons: poor staff
