A great place

This is a nice space with a patio, not cramped but not a freakin' barn either.

Under the new management, its a quality place to hang out, even when its not Karaoke. The sound system more than up to the task of making the jukebox sound good. There is free wi-fi and two decent pool tables.

Karaoke is every night except Wednesday from 10 to closing. The new KJ has got a large selection of quality versions of recent songs. Moreover, he understands how to run his KJ software, the PA, and how keep a fun vibe alive.

The fun vibe is what keeps me coming back to this place. The regulars are cool but friendly, with a bit of a wacky streak. This really comes through from the song selection and the frequent interaction between the audience and the singers. It is genuinely entertaining.

Had a Blast

My friends found this place on the internet. We went after we saw that the crowd at Bulls and Bear Tavern was a lot older than we prefer (50's to 90's). We are in are early twenties so we wanted to be with people closer to our age that wouldn't flip their top if my friend sang Fly Leaf.

Wild cat was having her birthday and she was fun and had a great voice. The place did get packed so because of all the singers, later in the night it was hard to get a chance on stage. I usually frequent Al's, The End Zone and Spotlight. They do not have sheets to write down your choice, you just go up at tell the VJ what you want, just like at Moe's place. The good thing is that everyone gets a fair chance to sing.

The people at the bar mostly sing alternative, rock, and country. There two people who song one R&B song each, and a few peole who did rock and roll songs or old classics.

We got there at 10pm and there were only a large group for the Birthday girl, so the bar seemed pretty empty. The perfect time to get some songs in, but then around 12am people started coming out of the woodworks.

I definitely want to come back with a larger group.

AWESOME KARAOKE!

Great place to sing karaoke! The KJ is fun, energetic, and puts on an awesome show. The sound system is one of the best I've encountered in Houston. The staff is friendly and fun. The regulars are accepting to new comers and make them feel welcomed. Great place to hang out!

have only been a couple of times. nice comfy neighborhood bar. the drink specials are awesome. the regulars are very friendly. there are a few of the regular females that are very easy to get to know. especially on the drink special evenings. there is one woman...well i have never seen anyone that small and petite take on that much action, with multiple partners and no hole was barred!!!!!great place.

JUST PLAIN FUN!!!

I love this place. Ever since the first time I went, I loved it. The crowd is friendly and familiar, whether or not you know them. Everyone is soooo easy going. Everyone claps for you after you butcher a karaoke performance. It's just great!

It's fun watching people come and go, but the best part is seeing all the same people you love to be around.

I'm very glad that my bf and I finally decided to make the turn into the parking lot one night after work!

• Pros: people, music, sports, drinks....almost everything (even the bathroom is super clean)

Scary

All I can say is "wow" and that is not a good wow. This is a place I will definitely not return to. The karaoke setup is great, but if you "bump" into the wrong person, be ready to experience some drama. The sad thing is that the staff became involved with all of the goings on and not in a good way. It seems the bar is filled mostly with regulars, and there are groups that are extremely polarized. I've never written a review before but felt compelled to after the experience last night. It was my second visit to Jumps, and I wanted to have a beer and sing. Somehow I ended up in the crossfire of people yelling and threatening each other and that included staff members. I'm still in disbelief over what I witnessed. I accept that there are sometimes bar fights since people are often drinking heavily, but I did not feel safe. As a woman, I would like to know that if something like that happens, that you can add least count on the staff to help control the situation instead of propagating it.

Friendliest bar in town, with great service and good times!

This is always a good place to chill with friends or have a b-day party...good prices, specials, and a door guy for security. The karaoke is top-rate, and the staff and customers are cool! Go check it, you won't be sorry...peace!

I love this Bar!! The owners are really nice and you will see Jeff there almost every day. He loves new people coming in to bar. The bar staff is great, all female. Props to Margie, Aimee, Marilyn, Paula, and Angie. There are specials every night. On weekdays there are drink specials, on weekends there are shot specials. There is also karaoke five days a week. Friday and Saturday is packed. Four great pool tables!! Variety of people show up, you never know who you might be talking to. Pool league almost every night. Stop by to find out more.
