Aztec Tan

I have been goign to Aztec Tan for over 5 years now, and have never experienced anything like what the two negative reviews are stating. The owner is extra friendly each time, and I often hang around a bit to converse with her or whomever she has working behind the desk. Anytime i have called or gotten there close to closing time, they never turn me away, nor have i ever noticed them closing early, unless it was posted on the door. They close on all holidays, which they have the right to do, since, don't we all deserve a little time with our families"? Never have I seen a dirty bed or an unfriendly person there. No, they're not like Darque tan where they're extra bubbly trying to sell you everything under the sun, I think the owner just gets to the point, and is running a family business. I would definitely recommend it, the location is good, they are reasonable, and being one of the pickiest people I know, I have not even thought about changing tanning places in 5 years.

I completely agree with the earlier negative review: I too had repeated negative experiences at Aztec. The owner is extremely coarse - at first I thought maybe that was just her personality. For example, one time I came in to tan for 15 minutes at 5:00PM when they were closing at 6PM. At first the owner said "we're closed", but when I was obviously confused since it was long before closing time, she sighed, "fine - just don't take forever getting ready and putting on lotion, cause I'll just turn the bed off if you take too long." I was stunned to be spoken to like this - so stunned that I didn't even say anything at the time, and just figured it was a bizarre experience that I hoped wouildn't happen again. The location is very convenient, so I wanted to give them a second chance. Well, a couple weeks later I had a similar exchange with the owner when she was just as rude! I also went to tan on 4 separate occasions, only to find each time that they had closed an HOUR before the posted closing time. I was angry after this had happened so many times, and so I brought up the topic with the owner the next time I went and they were open. She immediately began rolling her eyes and acting extremely unprofessional. She first tried arguing with me and claiming that the store had been open when I had said it wasn't. Since my past experiences with her had led me to believe that she might pull that, I had taken a digital photograph of the closed store, and so it had a time stamp that showed it closed an hour before closing time. She continued being rude, claiming that I was still lying! She said I should have known that they always close 30 minutes before the stated closing time. I said, OK, well then why don't you have a sign up that says that? And then why were you closed a full hour before closing time? She continued to be offensive and sarcastic, and never refunded any credit. She's evidently just a sour person, and I'd recommend avoiding her and her store altogether.

Cons: the owner is terrible, unpleasant and greedy, don't expect any kind of customer service

I have tried many spray booths in houston, and this is the only one that actually works. I liked the place so much, I ended up buying UV and UV-Free tanning memberships. There is always and owner behind the desk, never a bunch of kids, and very relaxing, no loud music. The place always smells great, and looks very clean.

Pros: Great hours, Lots of options, clean

I went to get a Mist on tan, and after going and putting on the barrier cream I pushed the button and found that the machine was not working. So I cleaned off my hands and feet and got dressed to go tell the owner what happened. When I approached her to tell her polietly what had hapened she snapped at me "you have been in there for ten min. and you ar just figuring that out!? what have you been doing?" she then told me that I'm using too much barrier cream and that its way to expensive for me to use that much! I went ahead and got my tan and on my way out the door she said "So Rude" Even though I had said nothing to her!

Pros: NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING

Cons: BAD OWNERS, BAD SERVICE, BAD PRODUCTS
