The Scene
This 243-room high-rise hotel south of Houston overlooks beautiful Clear Lake, where you'll find more pleasure boats than just about any other area in the country. Across from the NASA-Johnson Space Center, the hotel is popular with both business and leisure travelers. Water-skiing, jet-skiing and private boat slips make it different from most of its competitors, and although it's outside Houston proper you'll still find plenty to do.
The Details
Relaxing, contemporary rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of sparkling Clear Lake. A work desk, with adjustable lighting, ergonomic chair and dual-line telephones with data ports and voice mail, provide working comfort. You'll also enjoy a balcony overlooking the pool and lake, a telephone in the bathroom, free newspaper Monday through Friday and an adjustable thermostat.
