Family Atmosphere, Fair Prices and a Happy Customer.

Please excuse the legnth of this review, but read all the way through it.. it is a full account of my experience. I have read some reviews on CS about Nazar's and I am sure in business things happen and people get the wrong impression. I think this is the case with all the negative feedback on this site towards Nazars. What I can tell you is of experience in the last 4-6 weeks with them and my satisfaction with the end product. I have been shopping for a ring for over a year and had convinced myself that my best bet was online. The problem was I wanted a custom design and after working with some online vendors, I had found one I was comfortable with and they had quoted me a price which I felt was fair given the current price of platinum/diamonds and what they were going to use in the ring.

On a whim, to get a better idea of what my girlfriend wanted, we stopped into Nazar's and met with one of their sales ladies who was attentive from the start.

After we determined that they had something close to what we wanted but not exact, she had me speak to Nazar and his wife directly. In the few minutes I dealt with his wife and Nazar, I had already pretty much decided to change my designer and let them make the ring for me and even more so when I found out they were going to make the ring for even less than the best price I found online. I tend to be a very sceptical person, but I also looked them up on the local business rating site (Not sure why I can't state the name of it in this review...) and found out they have an A+ rating.. something I find very important....some don't...

Today I spent over 3 hours in the store (I would say this is not usual...I am just very hand's on when it comes to these types of things) and not once did I feel like a nuisance nor was I ever addressed in a condescending manner. I watched while they set my stones in the ring and handed me the finished product. I was amazed. It looked just like the computer model they had shown me previously. It was especially comforting to watch the jeweler's work on my ring, and then present it to Nazar for his approval. It shows he cares about what goes out of his store... something I don't think you will find at a mall shop or something like that...

I personally want to thank Nazar, his wife Ruby and their son Alec (and Gigi the sales lady). The Kalajian family have made it a wonderful experience as I start down the road to beginning my own family.

• Pros: Friendly service. Exquisite store. Caring owners.
• Cons: Hmm maybe Westheimer traffic but that's it.

There is no extra charge for awesomeness!!!!!!!!!

My friend referred me to this great Jewelry shop in town. I bought a pair of $400 diamond ear rings. Maybe not much compared to other fancy items, but they were so concerned about my situation and need. They didnt ask me to pcik the most expensive one, instead, the cheapest one since... the ear rings were just for my lovely puppy~~~ The risk will be too big if I got sth too luxuary for my baby. Anyway, I had a very nice experience with Nazar's.

I saw many ugly feedbacks here. I was wondering, how come I didnt see any of those?? My problem, or... others'?? Remember one thing, when u r pointing at ppl and blaming on them. Actually, meanwhile, there r 3 other fingers pointing at urself!!! Same thing, when u r trying ur best picking on ppl, u dont have any extra room to make a self-examination!!! Of course customers r the most important value to all businesses, but the bottome line will be... when u r reasonable. Ppl need to respect each other. When u carry the "customer is the greatest and untouchable" attitude to any shop, I dont think anyone can satisfy u. If they stand too close, that's a pressure. U will say they r pushing. If they stand too far, that's rudeness. They ignore ur need and questions. No matter wut, u have sth to pick on ALWAYS. The only one who will never be wrong is... U.

When I went to the shop, I spent hours picking the right item. The sales gave me a very comfortable room, he stood not too far not too close to me, but when I had any questions, I just needed to look up, he approached right away. In english, he was watching me without giving me any pressure. Wut else can I say, just one word, AWESOME.

If u really want me to pick on the shop... there will be one thing, one thing staying in my mind after I finished my last shopping. They dont carry Rolex. Wut a pity. I am planning to get a pair of Rolex watches for my parents for this Christmas.

Great service and great selecion

i was in the market for a ring and when i went there they had a great selection and great prices. the sales staff was very helpful and kind and answered all my questions. they helped me pick out the right ring and they took two hours of their time to do so. this was the best experience i have had at a jewelry store and now this is the one jewelry store i will be going to. the ring i purchased was great and the price was fantastic and i cant be happier.

Terrible workmanship. Even worse customer service.

Stay away from this place. People are rude and condescending and obviously have no idea what they are doing. Takes years to get a customer and seconds to lose one.

Broke watch and then charged me to fix it after cleaning....

I will never be back to this store after today, nor will I recommend it to a friend. I brought in my boyfriend's watch a few weeks back to have it polished as a surprise to him. Grand total: $140. The watched looked great, but we immediately noticed they had reversed the band. The first day he wore it, the pin in the band began to fall out. He was nervous to wear it, so he brought it back in this week. They informed him there would be another $7.50 charge to "fix" it. It had no problems prior to them cleaning it. When I picked it up, I spoke to the owner who essentially passed me over to the original woman who was in charge of cleaning it. She vehemently denied switching the band BUT told me it had a new pin in it... This would essentially mean that they DID take the band apart during cleaning. She then did a gesture with her hand as though she was brushing me aside! Aaargh! I have never been treated to rude and then been charged to do it! Never again.

The jewelry store version of car salemen

I wouldn't recommend. My husband and I went in to look for rings and they pulled the old "if you're buying today I can get you a better price." I haven't seen that tactic since I bought a car. As if to say they would be more expensive the next time you come in. I was not impressed. They did have a good selection. But prices are better elsewhere too. Another thing - they showed me one diamond rated as SI-1 clarity, which should have no OBVIOUS naked-eye flaws - but this one very much did - a big black spot. It seemed a little shady, like they are faking the specifications of their stones. Not cool.

Pushy and rude sales people

My fiance bought my engagement ring Nazar's several months ago and now that the wedding is approaching we wanted to purchase two wedding bands. We were looking for one platinum mens? ring and a custom made platinum womens? band with diamonds to match my engagement ring that was made by Nazar's jewelers.

We first started looking at men?s rings. The saleswoman asked if we were going to buy today and we stated that if we saw something that really struck us, we might. As we looked at platinum bands, the saleswoman told us that white gold would be much better and cheaper, so she steered us over to the gold rings. She then told us that we should buy today since gold prices were going up (we do not want a gold ring, as mentioned before). My fiance was rushed through all of the rings and did not see anything that he especially liked, so we asked to look at women?s rings.

I expressed that I would like to see something similar to what I would need to match my ring (knowing that an exact match would have to be made). Over at the counter, she took out a ring with round cut diamonds (mine are all square) and shoved it on my hand. I mentioned that this was not even close and that I would just like to see something similar with square diamonds. She then took a ring about a size too small and jammed it on my finger. At this point she said, ?You need a custom ring, but we can?t deal with you today. You need to see the owner and he already has three people in line. Come back some other day.? I asked which days would be best and I was told, ?Any other day, not Saturday.? She then started helping another customer.

I was shocked by this behavior as we have already spent over $5,000 on an engagement ring in the past year, and were planning to spend another $5,000 - $6,000 on wedding bands. Our sales person last time was also very forceful and pushed us to buy, but this experience took pushy sales to a whole new level.

Very friendly, great service, wonderful selection

First thing I noticed after walking through the door of Nazar's Fine Jewelry was how nice the sales staff was there. I was also impressed by their selection. They can apparently manufacture their own jewelry, in house. Very cool. I only tried on one ring. I KNEW it was the right ring the moment I put it on my finger. It was the last of its kind left, and It fit like a glove. :-)

I would definitely go back.

best bet for great everything, price, quality, service, ect.

This is a great store. i walked in just yesterday and was greated with a friendly hello and was escorted around the store and was showed as many engagment rings that i wanted to see. even after that they gave me a heck of a deal. this was pretty much the best jewelry store that i visited because of their great customer service and fantastic price. and as you can tell by my screan name, i dont like to spend too much money on things except for my car. so this is probably your best bet if you want to have great service and a great deal. this place is so good that they helped me pick out the perfect ring for the perfect price and to top it off, they found me the perfect stone for such a good price i can still afford a new clutch or even big turbo. this is a great store.

I LOVE NAZAR'S

Don't be discouraged by the bad reviews. This is the one jewelry store I highly recommend because of their top notch quality, honesty and variety. I designed and purchased my engagement ring from Nazar's including other pieces and have never had to question the beauty or quality of their work. If you are going to Nazar's to browse around and no one assists you just ask someone to help you I am sure it's nothing personal or a lack of good customer service. I personally don't like being bothered when I walk in there to browse around and when I am ready to try on or purchase I ask for help. As far as watch service goes...I have taken my Gucci watch down the street before to replace the broken G, crystal and get cleaned. Well to make a long story short the G was apparently back ordered and took forever and by this time I just wanted to pick up the watch with or with out the G put on it. I took the watch straight to Nazar's which I should have done from the begining and when they called me to give me my estimate they told me that they would have to replace the new crystal because the "cheaper" place down the street just put a fake crystal face on it. You get what you pay for.
