Business Convention Hotel

I went on a Thursday evening to the French Chamber of Commerce's Beaujolais event. I was surprised to see how busy the hotel's bar was at 8:30 PM.

The large conference area/ball room should be updated, because it looks very 1980s. Visitors from the around the world need to see Houston as a modern place.

I would not stay here if you are planning a romantic evening, but I would stay here for a business trip.

There is a Walgreens right across the street, so you don't have to raid your minibar.

Self parking can be dangerous here, because of the traffic on Sage.

Good location and great staff.

We used to stay here exclusivly when visiting Houston before moving to Sugar Land and we still encourage friends to stay but the rooms are getting a bit worn looking while the price rises.

Best Rooms - Location across from Galleria Mall!

New renovated rooms! Very Large Flat screen TV's, new renovated health club with top line equipment and furniture. 24-hour room service is great! Heard they are renovating the lobby and restaurant next year too!

• Cons: Westheimer traffic

Galleria area Marriott sets itself apart with a recent renovation, modern meeting facilities and sumptuous amenities.
