Awsome Clinic!
by imotionb18
My puppy has been very sick for the past 2 days, and I wasn't sure if I could afford to get her to the vet. A quick search on google led me to this clinic. There are a few comments on here about it being in a bad part of town, and the actual clinic being dirty. The clinic is not in the best part of town, but it is really not that bad at all. The clinc it self is very clean, and the staff is very helpful. We were in and out it about 40 min. Total I spent less that 100 bucks, and that is with every test that needed to be performed( medication as well). You may have a problem with parking if your get there later in the morning or after noon. I was there when the clinic opened, and had no problems at all. A big thank you to the staff for caring for a sick puppy, and a very worried owner!
- Pros: Cheap, helpful staff, very fast
- Cons: Parking can be a problem if your not there early
they saved my dogs life
by sparklegirl91
My dog essence i have had since she was 2 weeks, she had a pancreatic mass and i could not afford treatment any where else. they kept her for a week on an iv fliud and meds , she pulled through, I think even the vet was amazed. It has been 2 years since then and i still have my dog beside me every night when i go to asleep.
- Pros: i have my dog because of them
Ok if you can't afford better
by NETexas
This place can be a life saver for your pet if you can't afford to go any place else. The people who helped me seemed caring and kind. Though they may not have known everything that other veterinarians might know at more expensive clinics, they seemed genuinely concerned and caring for my pet.
The only bad thing about it is it is in a fairly bad neighborhood, the clinic was pretty dirty and smelly, and you probably won't want to touch anything. It's not a place I would want my kids to go with me to.
The prices were greatly lower then other animal hospitals or equivelant to other hospitals for animals or clinics Atascazoo quoted me $1000 for the same thing the Low Cost Clinic said would charge $200-400, barium was 100, blood was 45, visit was 15, like 4 different shots were i think 35. They could not find what is wrong with my cat but it's worth a try if its your only resort.
- Pros: Dedicated
- Cons: Dirty
Where has he moved to????
by bda642
I tried going to Dr Revere's office about a few or so again and it appears to be vacant. I even called before I went and got their answering machine. I've just tried to call the numbers again today and they are not working. Has he moved to another location??? I use this office for my 2 dogs yearly shots and love the inexpensive price. Someone please let me know..thanks
Inexpesive, fast and friendly
by Reine
They are friendly, fast, and inexpensive. Parking isn't all. There are 2 reviews on this page and that rated this clinic as poor. I believe that if these people are so fearful of life, they can't see the blessings this clinic provides.
- Pros: Very Cost Efficient! I am pleased!
- Cons: Small Parking
Of two minds on this place
by hepcatblues
[Note: Citysearch apparently has some problem with people writing the word BLUDD in reviews (the real word, the stuff that flows through your veins), so I had to change the spelling because BLUDDY items not being disposed of properly is part of my review.]
I've taken two of my cats here on two different occasions. Both times each one had a fever and few other outward signs of illness.
My first visit was actually pretty great; the tech confirmed she had a fever, was firm but gentle with her and he seemed mature. The doctor was very pleasant and appeared knowledgeable (I didnt' get but a few minutes with her, though). They couldn't determine the cause of the fever so gave me a broad spectrum antibiotic because it seemed like an infection. The medication DID work, even though they didn't figure out what was wrong with her. I don't mind the facility--it doesn't look like your shiny vet's office but considering the part of town and the amount of pet traffic they see, this is not so bad at all.
My second visit, however--ugh! Same doctor, and she was just as pleasant. I have no complaints about her yet. She still wanted to do tests and didn't push medication from the get-go until she understood exactly what was wrong. THE TECHS, on the other hand--know when you go that the TECHS DO ALMOST ALL THE WORK. That is why this place is cheap. My tech couldn't have been but just out of high school and clearly didn't know (or seem to care to know) anything about the animals or the treatment. He knew how to operate a pill popper and a thermometer, however.
When they drew bludd, the bluddy leftover needle was left (by a different tech) willy-nilly on the counter in our exam room (which had a sign that said "Sick Dogs Only") and there were additional droplets of bludd nearby. I WAS HANDED what should have been MEDICAL WASTE when I was given a "free" used pill popper with bluddy fingerprints on it. Whose bludd? Whose fingerprints from handling these items without gloves on? I have no idea! And it doesn't even work!
Conclusion: I would go here again, but I would take care to note who is on duty that day and how much experience they look like they really have. Take note of their demeanor and make the best decision for your pet! They do have some nice techs, but I guess they weren't available when I was there.
Exam (including a quick fecal): $15
Bludd test: $35
Meds: $15
- Pros: Very affordable, short wait
- Cons: Untrained techs, facility
2 dogs and a cat has never been cheaper
by loudogsmamma
the first time i went there i was so desperate my cat had a terrible abcess and another vet had quoted me over $700 to get her all fixed up. i came home and looked up low cost vets in houston and they were my first result. they took her in on an emergency basis and took her into surgery right away. i picked her up less that two hours later and she made a 100 % recovery..for about $100 as well. since then i have taken my two dogs there for their preventative care and the staff is always ready to answer any questions you have..i live about an hour away from this clinic but it is totally worth it for me and my pets
- Pros: great staff cheap prices
- Cons: minimal parking
Love this place!
by AMHC
I have been here for a bladder infection for my dog as well as routine vaccinations. Both times everyone was very nice and the bill was much lower than expected. If you have a dog check this place out.
- Pros: Price, staff
- Cons: Parking, no website
Great Vet
by MollyAngel
I took my pug in for a rash. The staff was sweet to my doggie and I had a sense that they all really like dogs. They skillfully drew her tests and I was in and out in under an hour. This is my new vet in Houston.
- Pros: friendly staff, short wait, low prices
- Cons: tight parking
Horrible Clinic
by soadnirvana
After hearing how cheap this vet clinic was, I decided to go check it out. My mom had my child and I had the dog (small terrier) on a leash. We had to fight for a parking spot in the parking lot and the clinic said to "park in the ditches or alley in back". My mom said, under no circumstances was she parking her car out there. We began to get out of the car and suddenly a guy who appeared to be in a gang's dog that was on a CHAIN (can you say animal cruelty) began trying to jump out of the window at my dog. Next, a man who had his German shepherd mix OFF the leash also started coming at us. I screamed at the man to get his dog on a leash and told my mom, "let's go to our regular vet, price isn't worth us getting mauled to death". I have no clue of the quality of the vet or his staff. But the reason this place is so cheap is clearly due to the lack of having to pay for an adequate and safe facility... I had no intentions of getting my child mauled, myself, mom, or exposing my pure breed dog to this trashy place.
- Pros: Maybe Price?
- Cons: Everything else.
