great location
by 2hotflip
so-so food... service is VERY SLOW .....if you play trivia and you like cheating ..... bring your phone or laptop with internet access on Wednesday nights! THIS IS YOUR PLACE. The management seem to tolerate it.
- Pros: location
- Cons: service and management
Worst Experience Ever!
by Nash285
We used to go to Sherlock's all the time when it was across the street all the time. We decided to try out the new location and see how it was. Unfortunately, it was a horrible night. The cover band was way too loud. The Sam Adams that was brought to me was disgusting. The bartender brought me another one that was just as bad as the first. We switched over to rum and cokes for the rest of the night. The waitress was nice in the beginning but then disappeared for half an hour in the front part on a pretty empty night. When she brought us our tab, they had added a ton of drinks to it. The manager basically shoved us out the door and said sorry, there was nothing we could do. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. 17 drinks for two people is a little much. Needless to say we will never go back.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: Management, drinks, band
Great bar! Fun Karaoke!
by aggie2009
This is one of my favorite Sherlock's. It is in a trendier part of town. The drinks are always the right price. The Karaoke on Tuesday night is always a good time. I havn't had the food yet. The bathroom entrance is hilarious. If you don't know what a W.C. is, you will soon find out. If you are looking for a pub experience, Sherlock's is sure to give it to you!

BEST PLACE IN TOWN
by frank02
I have been to this place many times. The new location across the street looks very promising. I was there last night and they will officially open 8/17/07. This place has always been one of my favorites because the staff works extra hard to make you feel like a regular even if its your first time. Parking is great and you can either do street parking or their lot. There is no covercharge and that means you can buy more drinks and get more food. The bar is full of 20somethings and they are all very good looking. This place is friendly to police officers and sometimes offer them some good perks. Music is great, staff is great. I was there before had a little trouble with a guy there and the bouncers dont put up with any childish nonsense, the guy was kicked out and was told if you want to fight then go to some other place. The staff makes sure you have a good time and dont put up with things you might have to deal with at some bars.
- Pros: Everything was great
- Cons: none
Great music and an overall good time.
by newromantic81
I recently went to the w. gray location with a group of friends for drinks on a friday night. We had a blast ! The music and the crowd were fun and it wasn't too loud. Time just flew by...before you knew it it was time to settle the tab and be on our way.
The only thing negative that I can say is that the bar was always a little too crowded. When I want my drink, I want it now !
Grab a group of friends and go check it out !!!
- Pros: music, drink selection, food
- Cons: a little crowded
New location update- still smokey and coverband still loud!
by htowncoog
My only complaints about the old location were the massive amount of smoke, and the very loud cover bands. After visiting the new location I have to add lack of air conditioning to that list too.
I think I will hold my business from this place until the new anti-smoking ordinance passes because this place doesn't even make an attempt to ventilate the air even a little. Not only that, it didn't even seem like the air conditioning was on. You charge $4 for a domestic bottle of beer that cost you 50 cents (not counting happy hour or weds) so come on sherlock, turn the thermostat down from 85 to 80!
In addition, please please please bring in bands that play their own music...at least one or two. If I have to see the "strippers lie" guy butcher another song one more time, I'm going to scream. Maybe it was the heat exhastion but I swore I heard him say that he has reached his boyhood dream of singing other people's songs in bars. You realize you're not really a rock star right? Sure, there may be a few drunk girls waiting for you after work who think you rock at the end of the night but that's just the alcohol talking. trust me.
But yes, as the previous poster said, parking is free, there is no cover. That's rare these days, but then again, this IS a pub and not a club so if they charged a cover, people would just go to another bar. Not really something to brag about. Now if they had airconditioning that worked, real bands instead of cover bands, and maybe cracked a window open to let the smoke out once in a while, i'd give them a few more stars.
- Pros: free parking
- Cons: waay too much smoke, even for a bar, loud cover bands, no AC
Great place to hang-out on Monday
by danjohnson
I was at Sherlock's West Gray on Monday and had a great time. The music was good the drink specials where AWESOME. The atmosphere was great. This is a great place to just hang-out and relax. Pool tables and darts where available. I highly recommend Sherlock's to anyone who likes live entertainment and great drink prices....
West Gray location of this British-themed bar chain boasts nightly live music, extended happy hours and plenty of singles.

In Short
It's not just steak-and-pint night that atracts crowds at Baker's Street, a handsome, convivial English pub. Every night seems to draw students on study breaks, hip moms and all ages and professions in between. Expect game diversions plus 20 beers on tap and some 50 boutique bottles. If heavy food is on your hit list, you've come to the right place; there's a solid dinner menu that goes well beyond standard pub grub.
Great location, but way too loud
by houstonkittykat
The location is great, and the pool tables are somewhat separate from the main area, which makes it possible to have a conversation in that area. But the live music in the main bar is so loud that it is impossible to talk or even enjoy the music.
- Pros: location, diverse crowd, very casual
- Cons: too loud, lots of smokers
