Nothing but good things
by McKissack2b
My only experience with I do I do, was as the maid of honor but now that I am engaged they will be on my list for my own wedding. The bride purchased the dress she loved a few years earlier from another well know shop in Houston, but they were no longer carrying the brand and would not do alterations. We actually were having a hard time finding someone who would. We had several appts to look at bridesmaid dresses and this was the last on out list. We tried the usual chain bridal stores as well and thought we found the perfect bridesmaids dresses. Then we went to I do, I do just to keep the appointment and out of curiosity. We found nicer dresses and the perfect dress for the girls and in the perfect color and for $100 less than our previous "perfect dress" from Alfred Angelo. While we were there the bride found her perfect veil and the seamstress was willing to alter her dress. And she did an amazing job!
Now, on to the size of the shop. Yes it is small, and for sure make reservations or call ahead. When we went for our appt is was on a mon morning and we were the only ones there and it was great. When I went to pick up the bridesmaid dresses it was the Sat after Valentines Day 2008, and it was a mad house! I didnt think about people getting engaged over Vday, luckily all I had to do was run in and pick it up. If that had been my first and only experience there and I was there to shop my review might be different, but you have to look at the events causing crowds or inattentiveness and not be too judgemental.
- Pros: helpful, friendly, professional
Love it!

They were so nice! I needed to find a veil for my gown and we went there. Like all bridal salons, I recommend calling first before you go in (no matter what day you go!) I brought my gown and found a veil that matched perfectly, as Teresa (the saleswoman) said it looked like it was made specifically for my dress! My mom and I have gone there a couple of times after to look at headpieces and flower girl dresses. Teresa is always willing to help and offer advice!
By the way, the rooms are fine, honestly how many people are going in the room with you! ; )
Also, always make an appointment (definitely) for a Friday or Saturday, those are the busiest days for any Bridal Salon! Take it from me, I've gone to about most of the well-known bridal salons around here for my Ocotber wedding!
They're really great to work with! My mother and I have had nothing but a good experience!
No good service

I went to I do I do looking for bridesmaid dresses. First of all, the salon smells like a nursing home and the decorations are outdated. It's a small salon with very small dressing rooms. All of the wedding gowns are hanging in clear, plastic bags and the sales lady gets upset if you try to look at them. The sales lady was very rude, older, and not interested in helping us pick out bridesmaid dresses, perhaps because I didn't roll up in my Mercedes Benz wearing my Chanel and Gucci.....
Less Than Satisfactory

I was expecting a great experience at I Do, I Do but was drastically disappointed.
The place is very small. The representatives are older and lack style.
You will have a much better experience at Masion De Mode in Rice Village or Louise Blum in the Galleria area.
- Cons: small, no selection
This upscale salon weds brides to their beloved gowns.

In Short
This upscale bridal salon came to be in 1996, after its owner managed similar shops inside Neiman Marcus, Sakowitz and Saks Fifth Avenue. Find wedding gowns by Lazaro, Richard Glasgow, Manale and Christos, as well as bridesmaids' dresses by Dessy, After Six and Vivian. The three dressing rooms in the petite boutique fill quickly on Saturdays--appointments are a must.
A pricey salon

I Do, I Do Is a beautiful salon with top-notch customer service. However, there is a small selection of dresses compared to the other salons in Houston, and I didn't see a single one for under $900. If you want high fashion, and to be treated like a princess, this salon is the way to go...as long as you're willing to pay the price.
- Pros: Upscale, Attentive, Exclusive
- Cons: Small selection, Pricey, Busy
