Always a great job grooming my Yorkie. I love to watch all the pups swirling around when I come to pick her up. Much better job than Petsmart and much lower cost. This is a friendly, neighborhood business that doesn't disappoint!
Pros: great work and location
Cons: none

I brought my puppy in for a bath and asked that they trim her paws, bum and pluck her ears. When I picked her up none of the above was done but for some reason they decided to trim the hair around her eyes. I was less than pleased. I am not even sure that they used the conditioner on the fur that I paid extra for. Not impressed

I have two 2!!! Standard poodles, one that is older and rather well behaved and a huge baby that is still trying to figure life out. Gizzie does a great job with both of them. They get great haircuts and the price is very reasonable. Gizzie is great and does a great job of taking good care of my babies. Love that they get to socialize with the other brothers and sisters!

I have been taking my dogs (two lhasa apsos) for over 15 years. He does a great job, and is gentle and they love him! My elder lhasa died last summer, and Gizzie knows that I feed them super healthy food, he advised me to give him table scraps (Fuji was losing weight) and let him enjoy his last days. It was such caring advice, and Fuji had a great time getting steak, chicken and cheese his last two months. My female Lhasa, Bettina, knows Gizzie also, and she perks up when she knows she is going. He has also pointed out health problems that I have not noticed (my animals are not complainers). I feel he not only does a good job, but really cares about my animals well-being. My only complaint is that they are sometimes too firm on closing time, even before their posted 6 p.m.
Pros: good parking
Cons: inflexible on closing, times

My friend recently recommended me to try out Gizzy's and I was very pleased. My dog looked better than she ever had after grooming and she wasn't caged up either. She loves to socialize so Gizzy's is the perfect place for her. We used to go to PetSmart where we paid $50 and Gizzy's was only $35!

Gizzies is incredible. I own a petsitting business and a "pup shuttle" and we take several of our four legged clients to Chuy who owns Gizzies. They are very nice and excellent groomers. I found out about Gizzies several years ago while talking to the former wife of the mayor of houston in line at a Starbucks. Almost every time I go I see some socialite dropping off their very pampered pup! Best of all, their prices are more than competitive, they are actually lower than the hideous groomers at PetSmart! Just be sure to ask for a pick up time so they know when they need to have them ready. Gizzies is great and all my clients are chomping at the bit to go in whenever I pull up in front of their groom shop to drop them off!
Pros: inexpensive, friendly

They would always tell me to pick up my pup at 1 but was never ready on time, I had to wait 45 min at least. The last time I went i decided to pick up my pup around 1:45-2:00 pm since they would always make me wait (Saturday). I get a call around 1:30 pm that I had 5 minutes to pick him up or they were going to lock him in until Monday. I told they I was on my way. When I got there they charged $20 extra for 30 minutes that i was late. Plus they kept telling me they live far and that is why they close early...I am the customer and you don't make comments like that to anyone bacause as a costumer I don't care where you live I am giving you business and that is all that should matter to them.
Pros: they don't cage the dogs
Cons: they don't listen to the costumer request

We took our dog to Gizzie's based on recommendations from friends with well-groomed dogs. We've had excellent experiences at Gizzie's. Our dog is always impeccably groomed & smells wonderful when we pick him up. Chuy will ask you when you want to drop your dog off & will let you know when he/she will be ready. The staff there is very friendly & communicative. I love the fact that the dogs are not simply left in their cages - the dogs all get to roam about in an enclosed area & socialize. I don't feel so guilty about leaving my dog there for several hours. If you prefer, you can request that your dog be left in a cage. I highly recommend Gizzie's for the grooming & care of your dog.
Pros: Excellent Grooming, Friendly Staff, Dogs Get to Interact

I dropped my toy poodle off one morning, only to pick up up before closing and he wasn't even near finished. Not only that, but I highly suspect that they even gave him a bath! NEVER GO THERE! There are too many grooming places in houston to choose from for this kind of service.

I have a very pampered shih tzu who has been going to Gizzie's for over a year. She is always groomed to perfection complete with colorful hairbow. The value, quality of cut, and customer service is superior to every other groomer I have tried.
