What users are saying:
This conservative haberdashery is ground zero for gentlemen with a taste for the traditional.

The Scene
Nestled among the antique shops of the Heights, Harolds' windows peek unobtrusively onto 19th Street. The place looks like the Houston haberdashery landmark that it is. For 51 years, it has outfitted the city's well-to-do, among them presidents George Bush and his son. When George W. was sworn in as leader of the free world, he was clad in a single-breasted, peak-lapel, center-vent tuxedo from Harolds. Harolds has grown from a small store to take up most of the block.
The Goods
Like the president it dressed, Harolds tends toward middle-of-the-road conservative. Brands include all-American standbys such as Oxxford and Hickey Freeman, along with international fashions by Canada's Jack Victor and Italy's Canali. Harolds finds flair in fine materials, not flashy cuts, and in this case, honoring tradition isn't a bad thing to do.

Galleria = parking lot rage, little or no service, walking for miles to find all of the brands I like and fees for alterations. Harold's in the Heights = parking near the door, superior service, all of the brands I like and no fees for alterations.
- Pros: Harold!, superior service, good parking
- Cons: closes at 6pm
