I went to Kwik Kar for my annual inspection. I didn't pass since I had my check engine light fixed the same day. The manager told me that since I didn't pass, DPS required him by law to remove my UNEXPIRED inspection sticker. I asked him to show me in writing the law that requires him to remove an unexpired sticker. He then told me if I get pulled over to just show the officer my inspection report and everything would be fine. He was never able to prove his story. While I was waiting, I called a friend and asked him to call DPS for me to verify the manager's claim. According to DPS, the manager's story was absolutely not true, and the police will not accept an inspection report showing a failed inspection as a valid reason to not write a ticket. After about 10 minutes, the guy knew I was calling his bluff. I asked him to get his boss on the phone. He spoke to his boss for a few minutes behind closed doors and then gave me the phone. His boss told me that he had made a mistake and there was nothing they could do, since they could not give me a new inspection sticker. Finally, they dug my old, ripped up sticker out of the trash and taped it back up on my windshield. It's nice to drive around being afraid of getting pulled over ... I could have been fine if he had just admitted that he removed my sticker before knowing if I was going to pass or not, but he chose to lie to me and try to feed me a line of garbage thinking I was dumb enough to believe him.

My Husband went here about 6 months ago to get his oil changed and about two days later his engine was almost burned up because they did not put his oil cap on tight enough and it came off. If he did not realize what had happened the car could have been ruined. I went there yesterday to get my inspection. They said my emergency brake and my engine need some adjustment. they said they could do it for me for me. They could not get my engine adjusted so I take it to my regular Mechanic he adjusts the engine in about 30 seconds (they were turning the wrong screws) and tested my parking brake and said it was fine (no adjustment necessary). I went to a different place and it passed with flying colors. This place is going to try to squeeze every penny they can out of you. I only went there cause it is right around the corner from my house but I will NEVER go there again.
