Very Disappointing

DIRTY AND DUMPY WITH RUDE STAFF!
I used to like Biba's until my last couple experiences there. They would frequently get my order wrong, but the food was decent and it's close to my office. What happened recently was so bad I will not be back again.
While waiting for food to go, a staff member began to complain about one of her customers very loudly. She went so far as to call her customer an "@ss" because he was in a hurry and was frustrated that his food was taking so long. Then the staff and kitchen were yelling "shut up" and "shut your mouth" to each other back and forth. I felt very uncomfortable. Having been a waitress, I understand being frustrated with customers, but expressing those feelings in front of other customers is a big "no-no". Come on!
I normally call my orders in and pick them up, so this was the first time I'd ever sat in the restaurant and waited. Since I had time to scrutinize the place, I realized that it's quite dirty. The walls and floors are dirty and the kitchen looked filthy. Yuck! After waiting nearly 20 minutes for a gyro to go, I stood up and approached the counter, realizing that an order that had been sitting off to the side of the grill for nearly 15 minutes already was mine! Nobody had bothered to notice or take responsibility for order, or see if it was what I was waiting there for.
Needless to say, by the time I got to eat the food, the sauce was warm, the meat was cold and the bread (which was going stale) was hard. This place needs to take more pride in what it's doing! It's such a shame. I don't recommend it.
Great Gyros and Greek Salad
by seamrippstress at Citysearch
I second the comment about Bibas Gyros. Healthy portions and delicious meat and sauce. The decor is very casual old-school but comfortable with a nice Memorial traffic view. Their dalmas are great! I've never had to wait for a table hour and service is prompt too.
- Pros: Great Gyro Lunch Stop
- Cons: parking in front, park behind Bibas
Love their gyros!
by sferguson103 at Citysearch
I went to Bibas for lunch a couple of weeks ago and had their gyro. I used to go to this restaurant years ago specifically for their gyros and had forgotten how good they actually are. I would highly recommend this restaurant for gyros or even just a great lunch spot!

Pizzas and gyros share the menu at this very informal restaurant that offers Greek specialties alongside traditional pie choices.
Decent Greek food for the price

We decided to try this place on a whim because the other restaurant we were going to eat at happened to be closed. To our surprise the food was actually pretty decent. I had the meatball calzone and my girlfriend had the gyro calzone...both had decent flavor and satisfied our taste buds. The only negative experience was the attitude of our waitress...we actually made a game of being as nice as possible just to see if she was capable of being friendly and cracking a smile, but no success.
- Pros: Decent food
- Cons: Unfriendly service
misleading hours
by soprano341 at Citysearch
If you look at the menu, it claimes to be 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, but we wandered in at 9:30 on a Saturday evening and they said they were closing and refused to seat us - even though the hours here claim until 10pm. The best thing about it was the hours, (certainly not the food) so I say, skip it!
Have had better at the one in montrose area

The pizza is wierd. The greek salad is used with iceburg lettuce, not romane like it should be. The breadsticks are good I think but, I don't know it could just be a little better I think.
- Pros: breadsticks, cucumber yogurt dip
- Cons: greek salad, domades
awesome pizza

this is, by far, one of the best pizza joints in town. i love the fact that i can come by here in the wee hours of the morning with friends and look out a table of pancakes, waffles and pizza. the crust is amazing!
- Pros: pizza, late night, value

I cannot believe the positive reviews about this place.!!!!!
The price was high, the food was nasty and the lady behind the counter at the time was rude( I have not gone back ) since my bad experience a few yrs back...
fantastic greek food

My friends and I ate here last night. It was the first really cold night of the fall, and we were feeling chilled when we walked in. The server immediately provided us complimentary small bowls of hot greek chicken soup - it was the perfect thing! We were also served fresh pita and a tomato dipping sauce to snack on before our meals arrived. My husband and I shared the greek sampler plate and still had enough left over for lunch today. Everything on it was excellent. Our friends liked their pizza and calzone as well. My only negative about this place is there's no lunch menu - I stopped in here a few months ago for lunch and ended up spending a bit much for lunch, although I did have a ton of food left over. A lunch menu with smaller portions and prices would be nice.
- Pros: excellent greek food, pizza too, large portions
- Cons: no lunch menu
