Just okay
by jenniferabraham at Citysearch
Everything was just okay to me. I didn't really love it. It has gotten a lot of good reviews but I just didn't really like it. I had the greek salad and didn't like it very well. It came with a brick of cheese on top instead of crumbles, which I didn't really like.
I can't say I will ever go back.
- Pros: service
decent but over-priced Greek fare

The salads are good, but you pay through the nose. You can finally park here, which is charming. My wife is nuts about this place. My wife also eats Lucky Charms for dinner sometimes. I guess you'll have to make up your own mind regarding whom to believe.
Not for someone who has eaten authentic Greek food.

A place for people who have not eaten at an authentic non-Americanized Greek restaurant.
The order of Dolmathes was bland, with no Greek spices, it tasted like regular fast food grind meat and mushy rice processed together.
The Gyros slices were OK but lacked the pizzazz I am used to, & the chicken chunks were dry and lifeless. The tzatziki sauce & yalandji dolma were OK but again not what I am used to.
The Oven Potato was the best thing on the plate, this coming from a person who cannot get enough Dolmathes and Gyro slices
- Pros: Festive atmosphere, Lots of Character to the place
- Cons: Americanized food, Very long wait even on ?slow? hours
what can i say

I am a picky person when it comes to restaurants, I don't deal well with bad food or bad service- niko niko's has neither. The food here is consistently great, they are fast and attentive, and that's why it is always busy! If I lived nearby I would be very fat from their food. That being said here are the downsides:
The last time I went the dolmas were way too salty, otherwise I've never had an issue with the food. I wish they would give more pita with some of the entrees and definitely with the hummus appetizer, I always go back and buy more. Parking is annoying, of course, but try to go at an off hour and you'll be fine. The restaurant is cold (what restaurant isn't cold?) but eating outside in Houston can sometimes be iffy (rains spontaneously, too hot, insects, smokers) so maybe bring a coat if you're always cold like me.
Great casual spot

Ate here for the umpteenth time today and wow, these guys never get it wrong. The model of efficiency, they just plow through miles of customers with smiles all the way. The renovation/expansion has helped ease the pain of finding a table. Greek salad with chicken is always awesome, also the Greek lasagna thing they do is wonderful. Even the burgers are pretty good. Highly recommend it.
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: Need more locations
No Biggie

Well the food is pretty good. Would be better if it were served on a glass plate or hard plastic plate instead of a styrofoam plate. I tried cutting into my lamb and went right through the plate. I must say the food is good but hard to enjoy.
- Cons: Terrible Parking, Long Wait for food
Worth Trying Once
by nohermanv at Citysearch
Try it once. The atmosphere was friendly, but the food was average. The portions were decent. You won't leave hungry. I'd recommend getting their salad. If you've never had Greek food, you won't fall in love with it by trying it here. There are better places in Houston around the same price. It's more "fast food" (though it took 45 minutes for our food on Friday night) than fine, tasty food. Do order out! Your food will be ready faster, and you won't have to sit in the warm restaurant.
One other thing: the fries aren't that great. Go for the rice.
- Pros: Friendly, Decent price, Casual
- Cons: Crowded, Warm
