Jewel's typically caters towards the transgender community, but even straight women like myself can find something fun and unique to buy here. They have so many cute shoes, and lingerie and jewelry that you just can't find anywhere else in Houston.

Oh, and best of all, the owner of the store is incredibly helpful and kind.

Sequined and beaded evening gowns share the racks with more casual options, but what they all have in common are specialized sizes geared to complement clients' bodies. Various accessories like breastforms, corsets and waist cinchers help where nature hasn't. Customers can go through a transformation session that includes a change from the shoes on their feet to the wig on their head. Staff is on hand to offer basic makeovers, too.
