The BEST Hairsalon in Houston!!!
by lizzy123 at Citysearch
I recently went to Beautique, and was treated to the Best hair experience ever. My stylist was Brandi. I can't recommend her enough. She was top of the line professional, and knew exactly what I wanted, and how to achieve it. I have had MANY bad hair experiences over the years and I must say it is soooo nice to leave feeling your best. Not to mention having everyone tell me how beautiful my hair looks. Brandi couldn't have done a better job on the color or cut. Perfection!!!!!!!
- Pros: Friendly service, very clean, and great atmosphere!!
- Cons: Can be hard to find parking.
Manicure "Nail Techs" Expect Big Tips or will Mistreat YOU
by Crispania at Citysearch
The manicurist's are very rude. Only friendly if you are tipping them in excess of 25%. Their manicures & pedicures are higher priced than any salon. That's fine, but the problem is the attitude of the manicurist. The owners of Beautique should train their people on not to expect big tips in this economy especially from repeat customers thare in there once a week. They are paid a % for each customer, one would think they would try to be grateful for repeat business and a modest tip. Everyone is cutting back right now, and should work together. I have been going to the same person for over 10 years once a week. I tip generously. My business is down, I want to keep going and reduced my tip from $5 dollars each time to $3-$4. I was treated so badly by this manicurist who I thought understood my situation and valued me, but NOT. She was terrible, cold and out right mean. Did not speak to me the whole session. I'm the customer, still paying, still tipping and not to mention each year at Christmas I give this person a $100.00 cash gift. I spend with manicure and pedicure each month minimum $200 per month plus tips.I won't go there anymore (at least not to her). The Beautique should train their employees on this issue. The lady at the front desk "AVEDA" is alos very pushy about tips and makes you feel uncomfortable. I understand working for tips. These nail techs are being paid a % of each customers tab and hourly and a tip.Too many hardworking manicurists and salons out there that appreciate long-term paying customers.
- Pros: Nice Salon, BUT Attitude is POOR
- Cons: They expect BIG TIPS, if you don't, they are very RUDE
Ok Brazilian
by pas71 at Citysearch
I went to Beautique for a Brazilian wax and it was ok. The place is huge, and I had never been there before, but the receptionist downstairs brought me up to the second floor to another receptionist. That receptionist then pointed me in the right direction. Unfortunately, there is no nice waiting area. I was seated at a small glass table with 4 chairs, the other three being occupied by another guest and her two very small children. There were only a couple of outdated magazines and no couches, not to mention we weren't offered any water or anything. The Brazilian was very quick, probably about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, she was absolutely silent! I kept trying to chatter about anything at all to keep my mind off of the pain, but all I got out of her were one-word remarks. I knew she was rushing because there was someone else waiting for her, but still, she could have talked with me just a bit. The service was definitely bare-minimum, but they do charge about $20 less than many other area salons. I don't want to mention the girl's name here, because perhaps she was just having a bad/hurried day, but I will definitely request someone else in the future.
- Pros: quick
- Cons: silent aesthetician, painful, lack of waiting area
Worst Brazillian Ever
by crazi_ness82 at Citysearch
I have been going to another salon in Houston and opted to try Beautique because they charge $30 less and Rice Village is super close to my house. I walked in as a new customer and normally people are showing you around and where to go etc. Not this place! I felt like I was bothering them to navigate through the enormous place. I went to 3 different receptionists, all of which pointed to the right direction rather than showing me. They all seemed miserable. Then I got to wax area where Jennifer I think , looks like courtney love, walked in and said come on back. She said "drop trow im gonna see it anyway" I was never asked if this was my first time. If it wouldve been my first I wouldve been scarred for life. The wax room itself was scary. It was honey wax with strips. I have always been waxed with blue hard wax. She pulled my legs apart in a way that I felt violated. She started and was done in under 5 minutes....I was screaming out loud bleeding and in shock and she would almost scream at me to relax my legs that were shiverring from pain and she forced my legs to go back to where she wanted them all the while screaming relax. I was afraid when I got done and looked down and my area was bleeding a lot. She hands me a paper towel and walked out. Everyday forward I have had some major skin zit/bunp/rash down there. I am ebarrased for my hubby to see it it looks so bad. I will never come back here. You will feel like you have enetered the cattle call. and leave feeling violated, Stay Away...unless you dont care how butchered your lady area is...I am going back to Wild on Wax who charges more but have never left my lady part in such bad shape, They are so sweet over there and i dont get zits down there like the ones Beautique gave me
- Pros: cheap
- Cons: everything
Don't search no more ! Excellent Service, ask for Kibi !
by Ladyk74 at Citysearch
I'm very picky when it comes to my hair. I just moved to Houston and decided to give Beautique a try. The staff was very friendly and Kibi was my stylist. She knew exactly what I wanted, when I explained how I wanted my hair styled and cut. I also needed some highlights and color, she has a great technique and discussed the latest trends with me. The color and highlight combination was an outstanding result, WOW.. I've never had better. I felt like a million bux when I walked out of the Beautique Salon. all my co-workers were like wow, girl where did you get your hair done? If you like to spice your hair up with color and highlights, and need an outstanding stylist , search no more, ask for Kibi at Beautique, this is the place to go!
- Pros: best highlights, best color, best cut
- Cons: none
Best highlights done by Kibi
by snowflake31 at Citysearch
Great place for getting your hair done and having a relaxing time. I highly recommend Kibi for all your hair needs. She accomplished all of my requests with great professionalism and experience. Combined skills and charm allowed for a great relationship. My hair never looked so good. My highlights were exactly how I want it them, just perfect. She is a great addition to a great hair salon. People were asking me about my hair soon after Kibi fixed me up. All I could say was “2507 Times Blvd, ask for a girl named Kibi”. Thank you very much Kibi.
Never Again... Miserable People to be around

- Pros: Location - Cleaniness
- Cons: Staff Staff and Staff
OWWWWW
by JC07 at Citysearch
I normally hate to give bad reviews, but I'll make an exception. I went to Beautique for a Brazilian. First of all, she used a honey wax on me that did more harm than good- OWW! Red skin and even some bleeding.
My waxer was late for my appt by 10 minutes! Said she was sick that day and spent very little time talking to me, trying to make me feel comfortable, etc. She just complained about how she didn't feel like being there. I can't remember her name but she looked like Courtney Love that day. Yeesh! She also had someone else's leftover hair on her shirt. EW. And the oil bottle she used was FILTHY. I didn't touch it. Better to go home sticky.
The spa upstairs is better likened to a corporate office. Bad carpet, drop ceiling tiles, fluorescent lights... The whole place didn't have the appearance that was suggested by the name- or the price tag. I tipped 15% and left feeling hurt, uncomfortable, and definitely against getting waxed ever again. Luckily for me, I've found a new place and had a much better experience.
Sorry, Beautique, customer service is key.
- Cons: Painful, spa is more like an office, waxer was lifeless

I went there for a brazilian wax. Two of my friends always go to Raza. She was great! She's so nice, makes you feel very comfortable and is very good. She's the only one I will make an appointment with.

Raza is the best!
by aet09 at Citysearch
I have been going to Beautique for about 4 years. I have changed beauticians a few times and had never been completely satisfied with my experience. A friend recommended that I see Raza, and since then I have never made an appointment with anyone else. I have received multiple compliments on my eyebrows since I have been going there. I have even recommended Raza to friends! By far and away, the best beautician I have seen at Beautique.
- Pros: Great service; Easy to get an appointment
- Cons: Parking; Large Salon
