I WOULD NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM THEM! The flower arrangements I have seen by them are beautiful, but they lack the service to get them to the desired destination. I ordered flowers for a friend who lost his father, and to my horror, it turned out that the store's delivery service was calling him at odd hours of the day (i.e., 6am) to get in touch with him. He would call back and then not hear from them until the next morning. This went on for a few days until he just gave up and canceled the order. I felt horrible because not only had the flowers not made it to him, but they were causing him great frustration at a very difficult time. He requested that my credit card be credited, but the store failed to do anything. When I called to follow-up, they claimed they sent a store credit, but they didn't even have my address so that would have been IMPOSSIBLE!! Instead of crediting my card since no service was provided, they said all they could do was issue a store credit. After such a bad experience, I definitely do not want to use them again, and it is money wasted!
Cons: Delivery and service

I would NOT recommend this business. Two months ago I ordered flowers directly from this business the day before a family funeral; they were never delivered. I called the day of the funeral before it started to let them know no flowers had arrived; I left a message the next day day for the manager; by the third day we went in person to talk to the manager who said she never got the messages. I have never received an explanation of why the arrangement, which she said she saw "go out the door", was not delivered. I asked to speak to the owner but was told he was not there, to call later that afternoon. I called later and was told he no longer lived in Houston and was unreachable for two weeks. I have been trying to make contact with him for the past two months to make sure that he knows how his business is being run for him. I have called several times to another location that he owns, faxed a letter and statement to him with no response from him. I have been told by an assistant that he prefers that the staff work on these types of issues and not involve him. However, he is apparently quite hands-on when it comes to weddings and other big events. After my initial order, I was treated beyond rudely by the employees with whom I spoke at this location and especially by the manager herself. The reason I called this business is that I had previously seen one of their an arrangements and it was beautiful -- I am not disputing their product. But my experience is that customer service is nonexistent at this business. You should remove them from your recommendation list.

I have been using Village Flowery for over ten years. I live right down the street in the neighborhood where this exceptionally quaint and intimate flower shop is located. I am writing this review based on some of the previous comments that I have seen. I was stunned to see any negative ratings towards this establishment as I would highly recommend them to anyone that I could. This is by far the best flower shop in Houston and as far as I am concerned many of the other cities that I have lived in. I have never been disappointed with the work and the customer service is wonderful. They make it a point to remember the clientals names, favorite styles, common buys, and most importantly I am always suprised by the friendly and welcoming attitude that I recieve when I walk in the door. They have such unique designs and a pleasantly overwhelming selection. I was using this site to get their phone number as I had recently lost my cell phone with their number in it and decided to read over the reviews. I hope this helps anyone trying to make a decision about this flower shop. I urge you to experience this wonderful place for yourself, I doubt that anyone who appreciates fine flowers and wonderful service would be disappointed.

I recently used village flowery for a big party I was hosting. I have had very bad luck with previous florists that I had used in the past and I let the young lady helping me be aware of my situations before. She knew right off the style that I was looking for before I even completely explained it, it was so helpful and relieving. Even though I was very pleased with my initial visit I will admit that I was still nervous upon the arrival of the flowers but when they got there they were even more stunning then I could have imagined. They really came through for me above and beyond anything I had seen before. I have recommended them to everyone I know and now use them for all my corporate functions at my company, including weekley flowers in my lobby..

i highly recommend village flowery--the staff is always very helpful and responsive, and the flowers are gorgeous. everyone i send flowers to raves about the quality of the flowers, and the staff is great about picking up on what you want to send, so that it's always just right for the person you're sending them to. i also find the prices ot be very reasonable, expecially for the quality of flowers.

Flowers died within a couple of days. Had to call back several times to actually get a manager on the phone. Offered nothing as a replacement at first but finally offered to give me a bouquet of flowers (cheap) if I went into the store myself after I told them we would never use them again. Would not replace those (expensive) that died. Very disappointing all around and I will not order from them again. Others like Empty Vase are head and shoulders above these guys.
Pros: None
Cons: Poor quality, Bad customer service

I received flowers from Village Flowery that were beautiful but almost all of them had wilted within two days. We had visitors in so I called a couple of days later. When I called to explain the situation, the girl on the phone was helpful, but after she called her manager on the other line, she had a lot more attitude and told me that "I should have called earlier" and that the manager would call me back (she still hasn't). I then found out from my husband (who ordered them) that he had requested calla lilies but they didn't have them in stock and that they were guaranteed to arrive at 3pm but didn't arrive until 7pm after we had left so we had to turn back to get them so they wouldn't be on the porch all night. We will never order flowers from them again.
Pros: Beautiful at first
Cons: Bad customer service, Limited selection, Low flower quality

I was sent an arrangement for my birthday and it is amazing. I have never seen anything quite like it, definitely unique. I've been changing the water every few days (thanks to the note written on the back of the card) and they are still gorgeous. I have left the arrangement at work and everyone just stops and stares and it. It really is exquisite and I couldn't be more pleased.

I recently received a delivery of flowers from Village, and was thrilled because they were so beautiful. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the flowers -- which were quite expensive -- began wilting after only three days. When I called to complain, the florist said it was my fault for not changing the water. Had there been instructions, I would have, but not being an expert on floral care, I didn't know that's what I should do. I really feel they should've offered to replace the bouquet, but they didn't. They lost a customer.
