awesome for a night out with friends

I've only been in Houston a few months now and havent really found too much that I just love but after going here last week with some "native houstonians" I must say that this is a great place to get a night started. The food was FANTASTIC and the getting the "7 for 7" deal was a great idea for 4 girls...7 tapas for $45...smart choice. I wouldn't recommend this place to go drinking at (its a little pricey..we ended up paying double for our drinks than what we did on food) but its a great place to go get some food before hitting up the bars in the village. Valet is totally the way to go seeing as how its only $4 and parking is hell. This place was so great that I'm taking my friends from Dallas there tonight!!!

• Cons: Gets crowded quick...tables are really close to eachother

This restaurant needs HELP

I really wanted to like this place. unfortunately the service, food, and overall atmosphere needs help.

Management is non existant, and the food came out cold and flavorless. I really like the decor, and this restaurant could be good with just a little attention to detail. I used to come years ago and it was fantastic. What happend? Anyway I'll stick with Oporto and even Rioja for a better tapas fix.

Don't bother

I love tapas places, so I was really excited to try Mi Luna....The food was just okay... really disappointing. Our table tried at least 7 tapas. One of the things I tried was a veggie pizza with goat cheese- it was so loaded with zucchini it was like I was eating zucchini on bread. No big deal, I ordered something else leaving the pizza untouched. Now I use to work as a server for 8+ years and good service means recognizing when your customers don't like something and then taking it off the bill without the customer having to ask you to do so....which is what I had to do. After asking the server to remove the item I got an unnecessary look. The service was pretty poor too.

• Cons: mediocre food, very loud

NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY,,,

CAN BARELY WALK THROUGH 2THE BATHROOM, TABLES ARE TOO CLOSE TO ONE ANOTHER. U BRUSH OFF AGAINST OTHER CUSTOMER WHEN U R WALKING 2THE RESTROOMS.

WE ASKED TO SPLIT OUR CHECK PER COUPLE TO MAKE IT EASY ON US AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. WE KNOW THAT IT IS POSSIBLE BUT THEY REFUSED TO DO IT. AT THE END, IT WAS VERY FRUSTRATING, TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO ATE WHAT & HOW MUCH THEY NEED TO CHIP IN. SOMEONE ALWAYS EITHER PAY MORE OR LESS, AND THE ONE HANDLING THE CHECK ENDS UP WITH MORE TO PAY AT THE END.. THE OWNERS/MANAGERS SHOULD GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND MAKE IT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY, IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT HAVING US THERE, IT'S ABOUT HAVING US COMING BACK, AND WE R NOT COMING BACK BECOZ OF THAT.

Will NEVER GO BACK

7 of us met for a multiple b/day brunch. The place was hot so we had to ask for fans. Tables were sticky, flies all around. Price is 18.95 per person, but the variety of food & quality was down to nothing. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. We had to stack our own plates & continually ask for water/drinks because no one ever came to our table...and the place was almost empty. Guess it was a bad time b/c there was a sports show on TV & the staff was too busy watching the TV instead of us. There was not even salad on the buffett. NEVER AGAIN.

• Pros: NOT EVEN WORTH A RATING ZEROOOOO STARS
• Cons: FOOD, SERVICE, CLEANLINESS, PRICE ALL BAD

Great for a girls night!

I went here on a Friday night. We heard it was a great fun spot for drinks and food. It was packed!!!! The food was good, the drinks were good. I will admit that the service left something to be desired. But in a place that full, I could also understand why. After drinks and food, we went to the "dance floor" and danced our butts off!!! Great live band, great music, and with not having any idea what I was doing, as with the other 12 ladies in my group, I still made a fool of myself but had an incredible time.

• Pros: Vibe!!!!!!!!

POOR POOR SERVICE- FROM THE SERVER TO THE MANAGER

I first waited 10 mins for a server to come to the table. Once he came to our table we didn't get greeted, but instead got an abrupt "do you know what you want?" Throught out our meal we were NOT checked on nor did he check to refill our drinks. In the end his tip reflected the type of service we had. Then come to find out the server charged my credit card twice AND added himself and extra $5 tip. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!?!? I call to speak to the manager, Christina, the next day and she too was rude and had horrible customer service as well. I do not ever plan to ever eat there again nor recommend it. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS. you want good tapas try Oporto's!!!

BAD, BAD, BAD.....and NOT bad as in good

Horrible...absolutely horrible. first of all, this place is NOT owned by chef youseff anymore. the food taste like they bought the absolute cheapest ingredient they could find. these are NOT tapas, they're just small portions. if they were tapas, they wouldn't cost that much. drinks are way expensive and the staff has a horrible attitude and if i didn't know any better, i'd say they were RACIST...and i'm hispanic!! i asked for the manager and got someone that didn't speak english! how can you run a restaurant in the rice village and not speak english? all the other bars in the village were jam-packed but mi luna was empty. i should have saw that as a sign. do yourselves a favor...NEVER GO HERE!!!
