User Reviews for Blue Leaf

Blue Leaf is fun to go to but really is the most overpriced, frivalous store I've ever walked into. I once picked up a Santa made of decorated styrofoam that looked like it came from Hobby Lobby and was shocked to see that it was $20!!! People who have real money don't spend it on things just because they cost a lot, they have money because they spend it wisely. You want value, don't shop at Blue Leaf. If you want to say you bought something there because of some weird social status your seeking...it's your store and you deserve each other.

I was sooo worried I drove by Bissonet about 2 months ago (Blue Leaf's old location) and did not see them. I stopped and asked the people there but they did not seem to know where Blue Leaf went. OMG but low and behold I finally found them....just a few blocks away...actually closer to me. Now I don't have to go very far to get all the wonderful things I get at my favorite store. They are now at the heart of Rice Village. I had moved out of town for the past 2 years and recently returned. I bring my husband and he loves to get involved with fixing the house. I don't normaly have the time but I read the previous reviews, and agree that the girls there are wonderfullllllllll!!! They are young and energetic and help us get what we want. I am glad I dont care if someone looks me head to toe because I feel good about myself and dont pay attention to those things. I simply love the ambiance at Blue Leaf and love that my house can be looked at head to toe and I always say we look good thanks to BLUE LEAF......PS their baby gifts are a-ma-zing!! (my friends in Florida call to order the tutu's all the time for their little ones).

I don't know about the review below mine. Blue Leaf is not only a beautiful store, but the girls that I always see are so wonderful and always smiling, eager to help me. I can go in there to buy a candle and walk out with 10 different things I never thought I needed (but I do. LOL). I would give this store 10 stars if I could. My whole house is furnished by Blue Leaf. They came to my house (the owner herself-nice lady), looked at it, and the next day a whole truck was filled with the perfect furnishings. They decorated and everything....for free! (I had to buy the new stuff though) I think Blue Leaf is the best store in the Village. Probably in Houston. Keep it up!!
Pros: Unique Items, Best of the best goods, great gifts, AMAZING furniture
Cons: Only one store in Houston!

I was shopping in Rice Village for a gift for my mother. It was Saturday so I was dressed casually and when I walked into Blue Leaf, the saleswoman stopped and slowly looked me up and down without even a greeting. She just stared. I said I was there to find my mother a gift and still the saleswoman just stood and stared with her arms crossed. It was not unlike that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts can't get help on Rodeo Drive. I left and the saleswoman took a few steps toward the door, as if to herd me out of her shop. It's unfortunate that Blue Leaf felt I wasn't dressed up enough to spend my money there.

Blue Leaf IS open for business. We have moved to 5504 Morningside Drive at the corner of Times Blvd. The new store is double the size with more exclusive product lines and offerings than ever before.

This is the most amazing store in America- truly. Not only can you buy a couch AND a birthday card at the same time, but you can design your own linens, couch designs and more!! I love this store!! Don't go to Alyson Jon across the street!!
Pros: variety, service, unique
Cons: not big enough, not open on Sunday, only one location
