Lone Star Glass is HORRIBLE at customer service!! They don't know how to call you when they say they will and aren't very helpful when you finally get a hold of someone. They don't tell you everything you need to know about getting a window replaced until the VERY last minute. They have NEVER kept an appointment and are ALWAYS late! I even had to wait around for a whole day and then a half of the next day because they can't look at a watch or care to call a customer!! And when the window was actually ready (a WEEK later) I again had to wait on them for over 3.5 hours (they told me between 9a-11a but didn't show up till after 11:30 and I had to call THEM to find out where they were!! So much for calling 30 minutes before they show up!) for them just to arrive and another 1 for the instillation. The ONE & ONLY positive thing I can say is, the installation guy was nice and at least he did a good job. Long story short - if time is valuable to you (like it is to everyone I know) then Lone Star Glass is NOT the company to do business with!! Oh and they aren't exactly a bargain - price wise - it was quite expensive!

I recently use Lone Star when I had my bathroom remodeled. They came out at the beginning of the remodel and met with me to helped me design the shower enclosure. This was before the tile was set. They coordinated with my contractor on specifications. They came back out and remeasured when the tile was completed. They gave me a date on the install and were here to install on that date. They gave me a window of time for being at my house to install and they showed up within that time frame. I love my new shower. It looks beautiful. I have recommended them to everyone who asks.

We've been using Lone Star Glass for a number of years for windshield repair, maybe a half dozen times always happy with that service. Most recently did a special order, a custom glass piece with bevels for a table top. Lone Star Glass did neglect to call me when ready, but the piece was ready when I called. And I do believe the charge was several dollars lower than I had been quoted on the phone. This business has been around for 34 years at the 3804 Bissonnet location, has expanded to several new locations too -- you have to be mostly good quality to stay in business that long I think. If you are willing to use a little give-and-take with these people I think you will be satisfied with their service.

Lone Star glass is not a compenay I would recommend to an enemy. I had a custom glass replacement and I've had to call them to follow up on it's completion (they said 7-10 days, it was longer) and on the day of installation, they were over 3.5 hours late. It required that I get upset with them to get them to even do the install on the day it was scheduled. Piss poor service....I'll never do business with them again.
