The Heritage Society is an outdoor museum in the reflection of modern downtown Houston giving a glimpse of the city's rich history.

In Short
Ever wondered about the group of houses that seem to spring up along the Allen Parkway end of downtown? You know which ones, you driving along, skyscraper, skyscraper, library, whoa, log cabin? One of those smaller, storefront buildings (facing Bagby) is the Heritage Society, a small museum that offers a short introduction to the early history of Texas. Complete with buffalo and longhorn heads on the walls, a Disney-fied reproduction of a general store (the real parts of which actually came from Egypt, Texas) and the inevitable 15-minute video (narrated by our own Ron Stone).
