Features
Among the Alley's many honors is a 1996 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theater. Past world and American premieres have included Tennessee Williams' "lost" prison drama "Not About Nightingales," Eve Ensler's "Lemonade" and Edward Albee's "The Play About the Baby." Other privileges: appearances at the Venice Biennale and Lincoln Center; ongoing relationships with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights Albee and Horton Foote, pop Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn, noted actors Vanessa and Corin Redgrave, iconoclast Robert Wilson, and Broadway and Steppenwolf scenic designer Kevin Rigdon.
The Experience
The theater strengthens its ties with the community through "talk backs" between theatergoers and troupe members after certain performances. Also, by contracting actors on an annual basis, the Alley fosters loyalty all around; actors have a vested interest in continuing to develop their skills, and theatergoers become involved with the growth of the actors.

Where in Houston can you find entertaining theater featuring world-class performers and a brilliant artistic staff? Since I was 11, I found just that at the Alley Theatre. They continue to impress me every year with their daring and inventive productions. If you are looking to have a grand night at the theater call or visit the Alley box office and order yourself some tickets to any show. You won't be let down. I've never been.
