I went at lunch and there was only a few patrons sitting at the bar. I always order chile con queso at every mexican restaurant I eat at and do not recommend theirs. I had a margarita which was nice since it was only 2.00 during their happy hour. I ordered the beef fajitas and they were very bland. They did not taste like they had been seasoned very long and were not that juicy. The flour tortillas that came with them were tasty and made fresh where I could see them. The service was excellent but then again as we were the only people in the dining area that was to be expected.
- Pros: Service
- Cons: Not that great of food :(
Great Food & Great Margaritas

**Note to a previous review - The only time I've been when there is no one at the place is right before opening -10:45am. It's always busy there otherwise. I've recommended this place to some friends and they're NEVER disappointed. Now to my review:
Pros: 1) It always seems that La Grande's food is made with good quality meat, etc... unlike other "cheap" mexican restaurants. Sure, you might save a buck at some places like N*nfas but you're sacrificing quality.
2) I typically sit in the bar 'cause I don't have kids, but it seems the main restaurant area is great for families. It's neat how the music/atmosphere is separate too. TV's galore with upbeat music in the bar and family style seating/dining with spanish music in the main area. A good mix.
3) Although I'm not a big margarita drinker (my girlfriend is), I do like their Margaritas a lot! Myself and my girlfriend usually avoid margaritas 'cause they are sugar-infused lime juice with little flavor/alcohol at most places, but La Grande has some well-rounded, tasty Margaritas. Since they started this $2 Margarita special I might just have to learn to love margaritas! (I haven't been yet, but I think it's on Wednesdays)
Cons: Too close to my house!! Sometimes my bar seat is taken! I should write my name on it.
**If you ever have a problem, let the owner know. He's great at being attentive and is genuinely interested in maintaining quality/consistency.
- Pros: Margaritas, Food Quality, Service
- Cons: Too close to my house

We went to La Grande Margarita last night. 2-26-08. The food was awful and the margaritas were just as bad. Our clue should have been that there wasn't any other patrons eating there. Will not go back or reccomend to anyone else.
- Pros: service
- Cons: food/drinks
What a GREAT VALUE. The portions are truly "LaGrande". I recommend the Puffy tacos, Chorizo Stuffed Chicken and the enchiladas are enormous. My favorite is the Poblano Pollo

It was the best food i have ever tasted. I highly recomend La Grande Margarita for you and your family to dine at. I also recommend the Changa and the Flautas. If you like queso then you should try uncle steve's queso with meat. i also Highly Recommend the white wings they are a real kick in the mouth with there spicey sweet taste. Also the 42 oz. La Grande Margarita and plus you get to take the glass home as a souvenier. It's all good in the neighborhood!
- Pros: Awsome food.
- Cons: None

On the rocks or blended, La Grande Margarita stirs a tropical mix of drink selections and tasty Spanish dishes.

This is the first review I've done but I decided to review this restaurant because when I went to look for a review there wasn't one. The salsa and chips were very good, I had the cheese enchilada which was also very good. My husband had a "specialty" of theirs, the stuffed avocados with fajita beef. He was very unimpressed, it's a whole avocado split and filled with your choice of meat, cheese and other ingredients then deep fried. The atmosphere is very American, the wait staff was 90% American and the music playing was also American pop. The bar area had 6 flat screen TV's as well as a wall size screen playing the football game. The other TV's were playing sports and had trivia games you could play along with. Overall it was a fun atmosphere, good food and friendly staff.
