by dollyright at Citysearch
You need to try out their special fried rice...I love spicy, so I always ask them to make it extra spicy...Oh its lovely, I have become so addicted that sometimes I go for it 3ce a week...its really fabulous..When u try it ,you will understand where am coming from.....I am an excellent cook myself but this special fired rice....still searching my head for what the recipe could be..so I can copy it in my kitchen. I havent eaten any other dish there...just this special fried rice.
- Pros: Ask for very spicy, you get very spicy. Very nice people
- Cons: None for me

We've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. Great, friendly service, authentic Chinese dishes and nice quiet atmosphere.

Pretty good Chinese food
by Amalina at Citysearch
Although not that memorable, I would definitely return here. The food is very fresh but like one of the reviewers not real spicy like I usually like. The steamed vegetable dumplings were very soft and tasty. I thought the service was excellent and that they were extremely friendly. When we were leaving each person working there said goodby to us. We felt a little like royalty. The shrimp and broccali were ok as was the chicken dish. I can't even remember what we got and that is what I mean by not that memorable. I would try different dishes before I discount this place. It had a very nice atmosphere unlike most Asian restaurants, it was quite cheerful. I will definitely go back here again and try other menu items. Don't discount it just yet.
- Pros: Very clean restaurant with a very cordial staff.
- Cons: Food could be spicier.
Horrible Customer Service
by ericnhtown at Citysearch
Do not waste your time! They are in it strictly for the money, with no care for customer service. I will never bother with these chumps again. Don't believe the comments about "good or quick service"!
- Pros: N/A
- Cons: Very poor customer service!
Some of the best chinese food in Houston
by dp777 at Citysearch
My co-workers and I have eaten at the Eastern Chinese for years, and I was thrilled when the same family decided to open Chang's by my house at the old cafe tin tin location. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is great, attentive, but not in your face. The food is amazing, I love their thick egg drop soup, and have sampled many of the dishes, the chicken is white meat and very tender, the beef is cooked perfection and not at all tough. The only down side is their "hot" dishes are not very spicy. If you love spicy dishes, this isn't the best place for you, but if you're looking for quality food at a reasonable price (the lunch specials are a steal, the dinner is border line between reasonable and kinda expensive) this is the perfect place to eat. Also, an FYI soda is served in the can, so no free refills on that, however, ice tea and water are both free refills (water, of course is free of charge) I cannot say enough good things about the food, and we go back often!
- Pros: Service, food, quality, environment
- Cons: Not very spicy (on hot dishes)
Delicious, clean, average prices
by AwardWinner at Citysearch
Food is more delicious than the majority of Asian restaurants in Houston. Bathroom is clean which means the kitchen there is also. Interior "look" is like a contemporary Asian restaurant in London, England. Will eat there again even though it isn't close to my home in West U.
Worst General Tso I ever tasted!
by Alexis345 at Citysearch
The rice was dry and tasted like sticks. No sauce but runny soy sauce in the bowl of funny tasting vegetables. The chicken was white meat, which is better for you, but it was so dry, I thought I'd choke on it. Please for that price, Chang's you can do wayyyy better.
First time there and don't think I'll ever go back!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.
- Pros: Nothing!
- Cons: The Food is terrible!
Best General Tso's Chicken In Houston - Don't Miss This Delicious Dish!
by alexmiller at Citysearch
Chang's Chinese Restaurant has taken over the recent Cafe Tin Tin's location and completely rejuvenated the dining area and more importantly, the menu. The staff are attentive and efficient, but what's more appealing is the fabulous menu. The General Tso's Chicken is hands down the best in Houston. They use large golf-ball sized all white-meat chicken that is wonderfully tender on the inside and perfectly flash-fried on the outside. Heat you ask? I give it a 3 on a scale from one to ten--10 being the hottest. You will love the complex fusion of the sauces mixed with peppers and small amounts of green peppers and onion. Enjoy.
- Pros: Thumbs up!
- Cons: I can't think of one.

Fine Chinese dining at one of three locations from this family-owned establishment.
