Having an event? Look elsewhere!

Had only one or two of things below happened we would have simply written it off as the normal chaos of a large party. However so thoroughly did their lack of attention to detail penetrate every aspect of our event that we are still upset any time someone brings up our reception.

Event coordinator: Our event coordinator, Kary Martinez, was only present at our reception for 5 minutes. So many things could have been addressed if she had actually been there to do her job

Unsanitary conditions: My husband’s fork had dried rice on it before anyone at our table had been served!

Horrible service:

-Bridesmaid told to go to the kitchen to get knife to cut the cake with.

-Only one table was served champagne by the time we started the toast.

-35 min. after we cut the 1st slice of cake, not a single person was serving it (service was included in contract). When I asked them to serve the cake, they respond are we supposed to do that?

Suckered at the test tastings:

-At the tasting, the chicken was incredibly moist. At wedding it was extremely dry!

-At the cake tasting, the cake was completely amazing. My husband, raved about how moist delicious our cake was going to be to EVERYONE! Too bad the day of our wedding the cake was dense, very dry and didn’t have the icing we requested.

Bill statement still hasn’t arrived: My mother has called the hotel multiple times. 5 months later and still she hasn’t received a bill but they sure did charge her card the day of the event!

• Cons: Event cooridinator, service, and food

What A Room!

The Sheraton-Brookhollow has gone through a recent 6-million dollar renovation; there are new photos on their web site. The bathroom fixtures and room linens were very luxurious and the hotel as a whole was very comfortable. The front desk staff was very attentive and made sure my stay was most pleasant.

• Pros: Parking, Location, Friendly Staff, Good for Business Travel

Comfortable hotel for hard-working business travelers and leisure guests looking to relax.

Each room features a large desk and Sweet Sleeper bed with a custom plush-top mattress, fleece blanket, duvet and five fluffy pillows. Rooms come with a two-line phone, voice mail, data port, safe, cable TV, hair dryer, iron and mini-bar. Notable amenities include a complimentary USA Today, pool and fitness center. Full dining facilities offer a low-carb menu, room service and to-go snacks. Kids under 17 stay free; call ahead regarding baby-sitting services for younger ones.

Ugh. Worst stay of my life at this place. The floors were nasty (which I read someone else say.) The restaurant was not very good either.
