I stay in hotels often in Houston, this being one of them. This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in Houston. The service is impecable. Everyone that works there is so eager to please you! You honestly feel as though you are at an Italian Villa. It feels very warm and comfortable. You have to see to understand what I'm saying. Oh, and what's better than 24 hour room service? ;) There are only 2 or 3 places I will stay in Houston. This is definately one of them!
- Pros: DECOR, SERVICE, AMBIENCE
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

Wow. It's all I have to say!
I stayed there for 2 nights on a business trip. The service was incredible and very customized. They even knew my name!! (and I'm a nobody!!). I've never stayed in a nicer hotel than this one. It's better than the Four Seasons.
Oh, and the bed was phenominal. So comfy. I could have just stayed there for a week and enjoyed every moment. It's like you're in a little private forest in the middle of town. It's truly an amazing place to stay. WELL worth the few extra bucks it costs!
- Pros: Location, Best Hotel in Houston, Free Parking, Free Wi-Fi, Plasma TV's, NEW, AMAZING
- Cons: NOTHING!

From the other side ('on call' for special guest services - spa type work), I can say the concierge is friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel itself is emaculate and the rooms are beautiful. It is upscale without being pretentious. I absolutely love the ambiance in this hotel.

In Short
Italian-born developer Giorgio Borlenghi realizes his dream of creating an Italian palace in Houston with this 126-room luxury hotel near the Galleria. The spacious rooms feature Tuscan-style decor (handcrafted cabinetry, antique woods, patina finishes), premium linens, stocked kitchenettes, flat-screen high-definition TVs, work desks, large bathrooms, walk-in closets and views of the pool. Guests have access to the hotel's library, lounge, billiards room and fitness center. Hotel-wide wireless Internet access and Continental breakfast are included in the room rate.

you must have taste to appreciate this hotel. if you like hotels without personality go somewhere else.
the moment you enter granduca you are greeted by the most professional and curteous concierges, that make you feel welcome and catered to. the rooms and suites are incredibly spacious and decorated with fantastic taste. just the books you find in your room (each room has different ones) give you a feeling of how individually targeted is this experience. modern amenities like wireless internet and plasma screens integrate magically with the classic and luxurious furniture surrounding you. once you are in the hotel the world outside magically disappears. the bartender at club malatesta can fix you any drink you might dream of, and the music playing in the backround through the hotel follows you smoothly.
anything you need will be provided to you, including free transportation around the area with your personal chaffeur. do you want rockets tickets? just ask. do you need a special gift for a loved one? just ask.
the real experience comes the second time around. if you come back as a repeat guest you'll feel even more pampered when you find a personal note from the general manager welcoming you back, some extra amenities, your favorite newspaper or the breakfast, just the way you like it. since you also have a fully functioning kitchen, they can pre-store it with anything you want, from wines to cheese or fruit. again, just ask.
looking at the pricing structure, i think it is a real bargain, if you consider free valet parking, free breakfast, free wireless internet, you can get a suite here for less than a stuffy room somewhere else.
i am one of many that has switched to granduca from my old habitual hotel in houston.
now, if there were more granducas around, i would be a happy traveler
- Pros: absolutely everything, especially the service
- Cons: nono

there is so much ranting and raving about this property, and I stay in a lot of luxury hotels in houston. While the facility is nice, it's missing the charm and character of a hotel. It feels like an apartment complex. Plus, I would rather stay downtown.
- Pros: The rooms are nice.
- Cons: Feels like an apartment complex.
