Best Indian food in the town

I absolutely loved this place. I am avid indian food lover and have tried all places in the town. This is my all time best. Wait-staff is polite and quick. But the best part is FOOD. It is authentic and cooked fresh unlike most of the restaurants. During one of my visit i happen to meet the chef. He was very polite and loved what he does. he was passionate about cooking and offered to cook anything we would like to have off the menu.

Weired but i really got the feeling of mom's kitchen.!! ha ha

DOES NOT ACCEPT THEIR OWN RESTAURANT COM COUPON/OFFER!!!

I dined at this restaurant last night. The food was just ok. The prices were high, but I had an offer from restaurant com that I PAID for and the waiter did not accept it. They told me that management has changed and we cannot accept the offer for $25 of $35 purchase. This sucked because of course it was after we had eaten that we find out. There were no signs posted. The waiter had mentioned so many people have been coming in with the offers and they send them all away. Why not post a sign? I do not recommend. Of course, there are not many options for Indian food in Pearland so just beware.

Disappointing

Disappointing visit tonight - new owner refuses to honor Restaurant<dot>com coupons even though they are still being sold right now. While the food is ok, the service is lacking. The only waiter is unable to provide for basics such as water. With so many other choices I see no reason to return my business to somebody who treats customers in this manner

Yum!

The food at this place is spectacular! The ambience isn't much but the great food more than makes up for it! I went with a group of friends and we ordered randomly from the menu. We loved everything we ordered! The lamb was cooked perfectly. The naan was delicious. The wait-staff were friendly and attentive. We're definitely adding this place to our list of favorites.

Great first Indian experience

This place just recently opened up and we have never had Indian food before and decided to try it. Sometimes the very first place you try ends up being the absolute best. We loved it so much that it became an obsession. We tried many other Indian restaurants but without the success of Mokesha. The ambience is not much and basically all you get is a table and some ethnic background music, but the delicious dishes make up for that. The chicken tikki masala is a winner as well as the kharma curries. The service is helpful, polite and quick.

• Cons: pretty plain ambience
