Bring your imagination. If you are looking for validation by choosing your furniture from someone else's ideas of fashion, this is not the place for you. The location is small, and the actual selection of furniture in place is too. But if you have a fashion/design sense, and are looking for a framework on which to realize your vision, this place is from heaven. We pulled up on a Saturday in October and turned on the DVD for the kids. We then went in and spent about an hour putting together a family room set w/ Charles. What I enjoyed most was how Charles engaged us in coming up with design ideas, drawing out what we had in mind and helping us nail down the details. The process was very organic, and we ended up coming out with a better result than we expected. I will admit I was not fully engaged in the details when we started, but Charles' interest was infectious and we were soon going back-and-forth with ideas on how to furnish the room. When things arrived about 6 weeks later (consistent with what was promised), we were absolutely delighted with the results. Regarding some of the earlier comments about customer service: my wife noticed some (minor) defects with the chair. We called Charles to discuss & resolve the issues, and he replaced the chair with no hesitation. He has been unfailingly polite and seemed truly interested in helping us come up with a satisfying and comfortable result. I got the go-ahead from my wife to furnish the Media Room next, and I have already let Charles know that I will be back for more.

Pros: Charles' expertise; Custom furniture for well below national home furnishing chain/catalog prices

Cons: none - especially if you understand you have to wait to get something custom

I bought a bed for my daughter's room that is similar to a much pricier bed my interior designer had showed me! It is well made and looks adorable in her room. We were pleased with the delivery service too that came in and set it up for us. I am going back now to buy a book case for her room. I would highly recommend checking out Chic Warehouse for great prices on basic furniture items.

Pros: Great prices and service.

Cons: None!

I feel obligated to leave a review since it because of these reviews in which i decided to give Chic warehouse a go. First off, the place doesnt look like much, but the furniture and service is great. I ordered my bedroom set and dining room chairs from there and it just arrived today (took 4 weeks)....and i couldnt be more pleased! I also have to say the delivery service that delivered them today were most impressive with how carefully they handled the furniture! The opening hours are a little inconvenient - that is my only complaint (ok, and it isnt for people that want their furniture immediately). However, i found it a great experience and am headed back to look for more living room furniture......

Pros: Quality, service, prices

Cons: waiting time for delivery (was warned up front though), inconvenient store hours

Okay so here is the deal.. You found a sofa and chair, or maybe a dinning room table, how about a coffee table or side tables at CrateandBarrel, Pottery Barn, or Restoration Hardware? Hold on!!! Don't do anything yet. Go to Chic Warehouse and see Charles, or his Mom. I guarantee they will have the exact item, or close to it (with/same or better quality) at half the price. They have most samples on the floor, or in a catalog. I like instant gratification so the 6-8 week lead time thing sort of disappointed me. I have placed 3 orders with them, the first 2 came in within 4 weeks, the other in 2 weeks. They don't charge for shipping. Just take a $10 bill with you when you pick your mdse up at a warehouse on the corner of 43rd and Shepherd, or I think they even do home delivery now. (The guys at the warehouse even load it in your car for you) Don't let the exterior /interior of Chic scare you.. I wasn't there for the atmosphere, I wanted t quality mdse at a savings and that's what I got. Charles and his Mom are great to work with. It's nice to walk in and be called by your first name. (Lucky if you get a hello at the above mentioned stores)

I was so pleased with my Chic Warehouse experience. I knew very little about furniture and bedding and found Charles and Ruth Ann to be full of information --- and very honest. They were more interested in being sure I was happy with my purchase than in just making a sale. And I have been very happy. I know I will return to Chic Warehouse any time I have a furniture purchase in my future and I do recommend them to my family and friends.

Pros: great choices, honest, really care about customer satisfaction

Sorry I missed a chance to vote because this place is GREAT!!! People are helpful and we found just what we were looking for and selected the perfect fabric. It just came in and our friends say its beautiful. Thanks Chic Warehouse

The place is pretty small but they have nice furniture. I went there after reading all the reviews. The staff were pretty helpful. Anyway, I've ordered a table in middle of September from them.They told me it would take 6-8 weeks. Ok, I can live with it( I thought). Well, it is beggining of December and I just got my table. It certainly took longer than 8 weeks. The chairs? ( I've ordered 8 of them $200/piece) They still haven't arrived. The guy told me middle of December( 2 weeks ago), now it looks like middle of February. Do the math. 5 months for 8 chairs. They can build a house in 5 months-but cannot make 8 chairs? This point my hands are tight. I have the table and I need the matching chairs. What else to do than wait. Not to mention we counted on the table and chairs for Thanksgiving,Christmas...Who knows we might have the chairs by 4th of July? So my advise is make sure your delivery date. Not to mention I had to call and ask if our table is arrived or not. They would not call us that is in the warehouse ready to pick it up.

Cons: long delivery, not cheaper than other stores

I was visiting my daughter in Humble, TX, and she took me to Chic Warehouse because she was ordering a new couch. I was so impressed by the variety of options and the GREAT prices that I ended up ordering some furniture, too. I think the best part was the staff. They were so helpful and friendly, and I just felt so comfortable, not like at those other stores where you have to keep saying "I'm just looking." I even called them back a few days later to ask a question, and they immediately remembered me and my order. It's nice to know customer service is still a priority to some people.

Pros: Great Staff, Wonderful Store

Cons: They're in Texas, and I live in Kansas!

I went to Chic Warehouse on the recommendation of several of my friends who have all raved about the place. It was even better than I expected! The selection was great, and I loved the staff. They were helpful and patient and really helped me make a great choice. I recommend this store whenever I hear someone talking about getting new furniture--it's a great find!!

We recieved a piece of furniture that came with the wrong color. I have called the owner three times now, and he keeps saying he's working on fixing the problem. Well it has been 4 months now since I recieved my furniture and the problem has not been fixed. No concept of customer service or satisfaction. Honestly, we would have kept coming to this store for the rest of our lives. But apparently the owner is willing give up $10,000 in future sales, just so he doesn't have to bother fixing one problem. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Cons: Bottom of the barrel customer service.
