Professional Experience with Collier

Collier placed me in a contract Title Analyst position. The things they had contol of which were important to me such as the amt of compensation, expedited receipt of pay checks, handling of my concerns as a contractor. These things were always taken care of expeditiously and professionally. They were constantly asking whether they could help with anything. I did'nt really realize how much that professional demeanor was out of the norm until began to work for other staffing agencies like Stark Technical Group. Collier actually cares about it's people, that is not the norm.

Strong Recommendation

I have to respectfully disagree with the last reviewer's assessment of Mary Claire. I have personally experienced her taking my calls at all hours of the day/night and weekend. I know her to be very active with family, friends and work-- always willing to help anyone around her. Not a gossip, just in a family well known in Houston, because they have lived here many decades. No need to be afraid.

I have been a paralegal officially for only about 5 years, so when I decided to change areas of law, I needed expert assistance. A friend - who has been placed successfully by Collier Legal several times over the course of her career - referred me to Mary Claire Upton. It is a debt I may never be able to repay. Mary Claire took great time and care, helping me move from an area of law that is dying to one that is just starting to grow. I have benefitted greatly, both professionally and financially. Initially, Mary Claire was very frank with me about what the possibilities were for placement and what my weaknesses were, which can be hard to hear, but she handled it with great diplomacy. She never sent me to an inappropriate interview. In fact, she told me it would probably take a while to find the right fit and make that transition, and it did. It was worth it. If not for Collier Legal, and Mary Claire in particular, I would probably still be in a rut working in an area of law where lay-off is inevitable, and low salary and over work the norm. If you don't have luck with Collier Legal, perhaps you should try a different profession altogether.

One of the Best Legal Placement Agencies in Houston

Collier Legal, and in particular, Mary Claire Upton, is an outstanding legal placement firm here in Houston. The interview process was appropriately detailed and aided in being able to place me, and a number of the referrals that I've made to Collier Legal, at respectible firms with respectible salaries and attornies. Ms. Upton was very honest with me in evaluating my pros, cons and that of the firms that she submitted me to for placement. I felt very confident that the fit was good for ME, as well as the firm. I always felt that while the firms were her "clients" she always had my best interest at heart and worked as hard to get a good fit for me as she did for her clients. She never avoided my emails and was always prompt in responding to my requests for information - good or bad. I valued her input, constructive criticisms and suggestions, and she ultimately succceeded in finding me a position that was exactly what I was looking for. I've referred over a dozen peope to Ms. Upton and will absolutely continue to do so and have nothing derogatory to say about Collier Legal.

Collier Legal Search

Collier Legal Search is one of the best placement agencies that I have used and will use should the need arise. For me in particular, Mary Claire was a person that was honest about what she thought about my qualifications and only sent me to interviews that I was not only well qualified for but were in the field that I wanted to be in. I would highly recommend Mary Claire and Collier Legal Search to anyone that was in need of assistance in locating good promissing employment. I for one am very satisfied with all the hard work and effort made by them, and have to say that I was most impressed with her honesty and down to earth reality. I know that there are many agencies out there, but she knows the legal field and how to match the candidates with good prospective employers. As I said it before, I would highly recommend them.

I currently work through Collier Legal and particularly with Maryclaire Upton. I have recommended this company to other legal professionals as well. I can honestly say that I have had terrific success with Collier and my experience with Maryclaire has been a joy. She is responsive to my telephone calls and emails. She really does make a personal effort. I really love working with Maryclaire. She's a trip!

I have to say that Collier Legal Search is an amazing and top-notch placement firm. Mary Claire Carmouche-Upton is amazing, and has placed me with my current employer, whom I have been with for two years. Before that, she placed me with another firm with whom I was employed for over a year. Suffice it to say, Mary Claire and her entire team are amazing and have been nothing but helpful, hard-working and incredibly professional in the time I have worked with them - which is a long time. To put it bluntly - if someone doesn't get a job through Collier and feels they were not taken care of, the problem lays within that individual - not Collier. I recommend Collier to all of my friends and colleagues in my field of expertise, and I will continue to do so far into the future.

I have used MaryClaire for years. I have went on several interviews over the past 4 years and have never been sent anywhere that my qualifications did not fit. She puts your needs/wants above all else. I have her to thank for my current position. Because of her go get it attitude and dedication I have her to thank for my advancement in my career.
