Never Again
by ShannonLyn at Citysearch
When i showed up to my appointment the receptionist told me that she couldn't find me.....it was because they scheduled for the next Friday. Even when i made the appt. the girl i talked to said see you THIS Friday. So i waited an hour to get in with someone else and then when i went in and the massage began, i was in extreme pain! His name is Bruce and when i told him on a scale of 1-10 how painful it was he didn't let up at all! I had to leave 20 mins. early! And he kept trying to get me to stay. I was very uncomfortable and left. I don't think i am supposed to feel like i want to die during any massage no matter how many knots i had. I am still hurting and it's been over a week. I will never ever go back. I tried to cut him some slack since i had never had a guy before but even when i told him he was too firm, he just kept at what he was doing with the same amount, if not more, pressure.
- Cons: No attention to detail. They are not accomodating.
Best Relaxing Massage Ever
by conniertyuytii at Citysearch
I had my first from relaxing massage from a therapist named Tiffany at Memorial West. She was amazing! She was so sweet and listened to what i needed. i fell asleep a few times because i was so relaxed. I recommend her to anyone needing a good night's sleep.
- Pros: The massage
- Cons: The people up front don't know what they're doing

I went into massage envy thursday morning and was greated by two smiling faces. Both ladies where very helpful and kind. The massage was great and helped out with many of the problems I was having with my back. Before I left both ladies again made sure that i enjoyed the massage and was booked for my next appointment with the, I do highly reccommend going to massage envy envy if you just want to relax.
- Pros: Great staff and massage
- Cons: none
First & Last Time
by djace101 at Citysearch
When I called to set up my appointment for Sunday afternoon 8-31-08, the girl on the phone was insisting that I be there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork so it would not cut into my hour. I showed up 20 minutes early and after waiting appx 35 minutes no one had showed up to take me in the back for a massage. When i approached the desk to find out what the issue was the girls were frustrated with me that i was inquiring about the delay. She responded that it was not their responsiblity to tell the therapist about their appointments. I asked her to just cancel the appointment. I had been there 45 minutes at this point with no resolution. The 3 girls went into the office and the solution they had come up with collectively to appease me was to NOT charge me for the cancellation fee. Thanks a bunch Massage Envy!
- Pros: None
- Cons: unfriendly staff, unorganized
Best Massage in Houston per thousands of voters!
by Knead4health at Citysearch
Thank you, Houston, for voting Massage Envy the Best Massage in Houston on the KHOU poll. We love what we do ? providing professional, convenient massages at affordable prices ? and we are thrilled that you do, too! We have a program for everyone who wishes to enjoy the wellness benefits of massage. Most of you take advantage of our wellness program, receiving deeply discounted massages in exchange for a 12-month agreement. For those who prefer not to make a commitment, we still love to have you visit us often, and judging by the numbers, you do!
The reason for our success in serving your needs is our huge pool of talented therapists. They are the best of the best, going through rigorous training and screening prior to their hire, and rigorous orientation into the Massage Envy family afterwards. Our therapists have an average of 5 years in the profession, all with the healing gift of touch. More than half of our therapists have been with us for over a year, many for over two or three years. We have a wonderful compensation package that benefits those hard-working professionals, many of whom are able to buy their first home thanks to their job security at Massage Envy. Many of our therapists have told us that the wonderful clients and safe, fraternal work environment are the secrets to their happiness.
Again, Houston, thank you for voting us the Best Massage in Houston. We greatly appreciate your support and your business!
Fine, not great

I got a massage here and it was fine- the therapist did an ok job but she talked the whole time about bizarre things. She kept telling me quasi-scientific "facts" about how if you get a massage after you've been drinking "all the stuff we loosen up will go to your liver and you'll die" and other equally weird tidbits. She also told me how much she makes per hour, and that I should put olive oil on my face every night if I want to look young. It was a strange experience and I won't return.
- Pros: Cheap
- Cons: Strange conversation
Oh My God
by bigtex1622 at Citysearch
My sister got me my first massage. I was nervous at first, but the therapist was professional. Yes he watched the clock, but if everyone got a "hour" long massage, then the times would not start and end on the hour. But the 50 minutes I did get, was nothing but pure heaven. He asked exactly what I wanted and provided it. I did leave wanting more, but I think even if I was there for 8 hours, I would still want more. Then I found out something even better. It is called family discount. I am getting $10 off my monthly fees ( Yes I joined, try it and you will too )
- Pros: A great place to get a massage, professional staff, very clean place.
- Cons: No Hot Stones, I would love to try that.
you get what you pay for

Massage Envy is to massage what Supercuts is to salons. It is cheap but you get what you pay for. I have been given 2 gift certs to go there and both times it has been disappointing. Save up a few extra bucks and seek out a professional massage with a therapist that will treat you as the individual you are and will work with you to improve your health and stress by developing an on-going relationship with that therapist. It is well worth it. Massage Envy = disappointment
- Pros: clean
- Cons: therapists watching the clock

I have had many wonderful massages over the years and my massage at Massage Envy was one of the best. The therapist was very professional. She made sure I was very comfortable and relaxed. It was a quiet and soothing atmosphere, except when my cell phone rang. Remember to turn your cell off. I would love to recommend this salon to my friends and family. It is such an affordable massage and a great value.
- Pros: Very professional, quiet and calm
- Cons: None
avoid membership always
by butler1 at Citysearch
I had three massages with excellent experience prior to purchasing a membership. Then I made the mistake of signing a 12 month membership. This location will never have availability for members to schedule a masssage. They want the monthly dues and save appointment times for non-members. Apparently, I am not the only one having this problem check with the Better Business Bureu.
