Meh.

My first review for this place was great. The quality has dropped significantly since they opened so it's time for an update. The drip coffee was once slightly above average (worse than indie shops but better than SBUX) but is now far below average. I?m not sure what happened to cause the decline in quality. I haven?t tried their espresso-based drinks but my wife threw hers out last time we were there. The paninis used to be fresh but now it seems like they sit in the case for a few days before being served. To their credit, the drive-thru is convenient and the hours are better than any other shop in town. They stay open ridiculously late on weekends to cater to the drunken midtown partiers. The staff is average as far as service and mood are concerned. I still stop in about once a week on the way to work for convenience sake but I don?t spend any time there anymore. There are plenty of much better places very close by to chill with a cup of coffee.
- Pros: Hours, Wine, Drive-thru, Patio
- Cons: Parking, Coffee, Music

This is a FABULOUS coffee shop! They have everything you can imagine there (gelato that is to die for!, scones, freezes, etc.)! If I still lived in Sugar Land, I would never go to Starbucks again! I wish they had a drive through, but this place is fantastic! A gem of Sugar Land!
- Pros: ambiance, wi-fi, GELATO
- Cons: NONE

I am a frequent traveler from L.A. and have been stopping in at the Coffee Groundz everytime. Their coffee tastes amazing and its a nice treat to have some gelato and crepes too. Its a very comfortable place to just hang out or do some work. I just wish they had one in L.A.!

Good grinds

Coffee Groundz truly has an outstanding blend. It really gives me that kick I need on my way to work from Sugarland to downtown. It is so conveniently located right off of 59 and right by an entrance ramp. I stopped by on my way home and tried one of their Nutella crepes once as well. I literally closed my eyes and with each taste thought I was sitting in a Parisian cafe. Keep on grinding.
Great for meetings, courteous staff, best coffee in Houston

The Groundz is like my second office. Comfortable setting to relax or conduct business, and the free Wi-Fi is helpful. Good music and ambiance- and the staff is friendly and courteous. The coffee is the best in town, and the Freezees are tasty.
- Pros: Good for business meetings, ambiance, coffee
- Cons: none
