This is my new favorite place to eat in Houston. It is a trendy and comfortable atmosphere. The wine list is amazing, and the "wine dude" certainly knows his wines. He has been very helpful in answering questions about the wines and has excellent taste when it comes to the pairing them with food. Hats off to the chef who is very creative with the menu. If you are able, definitely try each food item with its suggested pairing; and if you are with family and/or friends, ask to try their foods as well with the wine you ordered. You'd be surprised at how fast you learn why certain wines go with certain foods. I would recommend this place to my friends. A great place for a get together.
Pros: Wine and food!

I made a reservation and when we got there, we still had to wait about 30 mins. However, the ladies in our group received a complimentary drink at the bar, while we were waiting. After that, everything ran smoothly, from service to food.

This is my favorite place to eat in all of Houston. The atmosphere is very easy going and funky. The wine list is amazing, with funky quotes and life thoughts from the general manager at the top of the page. These change periodically, as does the menu. The seasonal changes in the menu mean something new to try everytime we go. The food iteself is amazing, the best food I've had yet in Houston. Lance, the chef, makes some amazing creations that are perfectly cooked and paired with the side dishes. I highly recommend the wine pairings that come with the meal, they are perfectly matched. I am throughly impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere everytime I eat here. Great place for a date, or to catch up with old friends.
Pros: Great food and wine pairings
Cons: Can get loud when crowded

Went to Glass Wall on Saturday with no reservation. Waited in the bar and ate a crabcake till a table opened up. Place was buzzin'. A blonde surfer girl helped us in the bar and the dining room. I think my girlfriend was jealous. We had the pork entree and wahoo special. Very tasty. Wine pairings on the menu a nice touch. Coming back next week with my parents WITH a reservation. Highly recommend it!
Pros: Great food, wine pairings, easy going atmosphere
Cons: Not open for lunch

Great atmosphere - check Great food - check Great service - not even close. When going to restaurants of this nature (i.e. not Outback), I would hope that the service is of a much higher standard. Unfortunately this was not the case on my first visit to this restaurant. This was by far the quickest dinner seating I had gone through not including meals at Chilis. By the time I was seated until we were asked for deserts it was 40 minutes. The main course was brought to our table before we had finished the glasses of wine that accompanied our appetizers. Then, we were offered the desert menu and then our check before we had finished the wine that came with our main course!! I understand the need to "turn over tables" but this was ridiculous in a restaurant that was not full and with no one waiting for a table. To top it off, we were asked by several different waiters if we were ready to pay. Here is a clue, when my credit card is sitting in the folder, then I am ready to pay. The wait staff need some training on some basic serving etiquette and it would be nice if the restaurant manager was around to speak with. All this being said, I would still probably go back but I would definitely make it clear with the waiter or waitress when I would like to be served so as not to be rushed.

My girlfriend and I went to Glass Wall last night. We started with an appetizer of quail, which was very flavorful, but the portion size was tiny! Is this some kind of "singles" appetizer I haven't heard of? The wine list is not extensive, and our waiter was not very helpful in picking a wine, although we ended up with a good red by the name of 9-Mile Road. For my entree, I had the Pork Tenderloin, and I was very happy with my choice. It was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying sauce complimented it very well. However, my overall feeling is that I could have gotten much better food elsewhere for the price I paid.
Pros: Warm ambience, good food, attentive servers
Cons: Too expensive, small portions

Great food, great drinks, great restaurant. Only complaint is that it can be extremely difficult to hold a conversation as the acoustics are not good.
Cons: Acoustics

My husand and I met his sister and mother there for a early dinner. We loved it and found our food to be excellent. It is small so during peak hours don't expect to get a table or to make changes or add to your reservation. The pork and crab cakes were great and so was a salad. The wine list is reasonably priced. We ordered a California red Merlot that we loved so much I ordered it from a major liquor warehouse the very next day. To my surprise I found the Glass Wall price was just a little over the warehouse store's price. (Not the normal 50-100% over). Wish it had a patio but perhaps due to the location it is best that it doesn't unless it was in the back. (Too much traffic on Studemont). We've added it to our list of favorites.
Pros: Great food and wine
Cons: Other than being small none. Small would be good it it wasn't so popular

Lance's food continues to be very good. If you liked the food at his previous places you will really enjoy it here although the atmosphere is definitely more relaxed. We had the tuna bruschetta and steamed mussels which were both excellent. For our main courses we had the Halibut which was good but the pea risotto was lacking a little in taste, both beef dishes which were excellent and the tuna mignon which was also very good although slightly over cooked. We also did the suggested wine pairings and thought they definitely added to the experience. The restaurant is very nondescript from the outside but nice and bright on the inside. The only negative is that it does get loud due to all the hard surfaces. Overall we really enjoyed the feel of the restaurant despite the noise level. Service was uneven with empty plates sitting on the table too long and water glasses not getting refilled. This surprised us since there appeared to be plenty of help. This is definitely a restaurant we will be visiting regularly.
Pros: Good Food, Nice Bright Atmosphere, Good Wine Selection
Cons: Loud

i spotted this place while driving around my new neighborhood and did not realize it was a restaurant and took a peek inside. last night i had dinner there with a couple of friends and we were amazed. great service, extensive wine list, comfortable atmosphere and the food was a symphony. we tried the ribeye, market fish and pork tenderloin and all were superior as were the desserts. i highly recommend the black forest cake and apricot tart, can't wait to go again.
Cons: none
