Think twice....

This spa is on the smaller end and the interior is nice but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Part of the reason I was drawn to the spa is because the prices are lower than what you usually see for spas but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. My masseuse was not very good at all. She appeared to be very new and not to say that new massage therapists can't do a good job, however this individual was particularly bad. She talked a lot, and was just really awkward. She just didn't give a good massage.

I just learned that the Woodhouse Day Spa in Missouri City now has new owners and all new staff. Everyone is super nice and my services were great from beginning to end. Kristy did my massage and she was so nice and professional. The spa is much better than before, and I can't wait to go back.

i visited the woodhouse day spa recently and had a fabulous experience. my massagge was amazing and lasted the full time, my facial was relaxing and my skin looks better, and the service was super friendly. i read the other reviews on here, and my time there was totally different. there are new owners and the new staff is friendly and helpful. i would definitely go back.

Poor and unacceptable customer service.

In the last year, this spa has gone downhill. I used to come here frequently before moving out to California and enjoyed their massages and pedicures and even a facial every now and then. Although I have had positive experiences with their spa technicians, I have had my worst customer service experiences here. First, it was just cold and rude service from the women up front and I just decided that the quality of the treatments were worth it. But then, my husband booked a surprise day at the spa for me after speaking to a woman named Jen. When I arrived, I found out that I got a different masseuse than my husband had booked (just like another reviewer below) and so I told the women up front and they completely denied it. A woman named Carmen was extremely rude and didn't even apologize on behalf of the spa. She said I could have a 15% discount off my next spa appointment. Unfortunately for them, I've decided to never go back.

Service is average but not spectacular...

I recently moved out to Missouri City after living in town and was hoping to find a good spa that was closer to home. I've been to Woodhouse 3 times now but am unsure if I will return for a 4th. The first 2 times I went, I scheduled a 90 min massage and the service was amazing-I believe my masseuse's name was Missy or Misty but she began right on time and the massage actually lasted almost the entire 90 mins which is pretty rare to find-they typically end about 15 mins prior!! She paid close attn to the areas that I was having problems with and the pressure was just right based on the form that I filled out. She was also very courteous and professional. The 3rd time I went I decided to take my best friend and we were both disappointed with some aspect of the service. I have no complaints about my massage but my facial was probably one of the worst ones I have ever had anywhere! I scheduled a 60 min facial and the guy was finished in about 30 but I was still charged for the 60 min one. He seemed extremely rushed and he left the room once or twice to go talk to some friends or coworkers that were by the front desk. I honestly probably could have done what he did myself and saved the money. My friend enjoyed her facial but said the noise level was so loud from the coworkers talking at the front desk that she could hear them the entire time during her massage so it was hard for her to unwind/relax. I do agree w/some of the other reviews that the staff doesn't seem very professional. I just found it a little nerve wracking that the noise wasn't coming from clients but the employees. I am unsure at this point if I would go back for a 4th visit but would recommend trying it yourself and deciding. If I do go back, I will just stick to the massages but doubt I will try any of their other services.

Wasted my time, horrible service

I was given a gift card to Woodhouse and was so excited to enjoy some time at the spa - I did not know that it was going to be an entire day of waiting! My appointment started at 10am - I did not leave until almost 5pm just in time for traffic! And the only services I had were a 1 hour (did not last a full hour) massage and a manicure and pedicure. I spent most of my time waiting around and asking when my next treatment would begin. I brought my own polish (Chanel) and the nail tech broke the top of the bottle and spilled it all over the floor (brand new bottle!) with no apologies and no compensation. Then on the gift certificate there were about $20 left and I was going to use it on products but they told me that I was all settled up and that covered the tip. When I spoke with their headquarters about it - they informed me that was not normal procedures and I should have been able to use that for products. This was a horrible experience and was frustrating not relaxing! The one in Corpus Christi is fabulous though and I highly recommend that one - the Sugarland one is terrible please don't waste your money - they really need to get their act together. Further, the calls to the manager were never returned.

One of the best massage experiences I've ever had

I had only heard about this spa a few times before I got a massage there as a surprise gift from a friend. I've been to countless places to get massage and spa treatments but none of them stood out the way Woodhouse did for me. I definitely won't forget this experience, it was really great. When you're greeted at the door, (you must arrive 15 minutes prior to your appt for preparation) they give you a really nice robe and slippers to change into. Then you're given a heated neck wrap as well. They also have an in-depth information sheet, requesting info about your skin, how you like your massages, etc. I've filled these out at massage places before, but Woodhouse seemed more attentive. This is important to me because I have really sensitive skin, and they paid attention to the chemicals I was allergic to, and also what areas of my body to avoid or pay special attention to. They tea they served in the waiting room was delicious, and their bedside manner a plus as well. When I was receiving my massage, the firmness was perfect. The masseuse was on point with what I requested. I can't wait to go back!

My New Get Away Place

I had been referred to this spa by some friends. I live about 30 mins away but I decided to see what all the talk was about. I am so glad that I finally made an appointment! From the time I made the appointment to the time that i arrived the staff was so kind to me. I loved, loved the warm neck roll that they gave me while I waited for my service and my tea was so yummy. (considering i'm not really a tea fan) I had the Volcanic Stone Massage and half way through my massage I already knew that i was going to rebook for the next week! I live in that fast lane life and hardly get anytime for myself. After discovering the Woodhouse I am now going to make time to schedule an appointment at least once a month just for a little get away. I would recommend this spa to anyone! :o)

Wonderful and Relaxing Experience

My mother and I had a wonderful time when we visited the Woodhouse for her birthday. We enjoyed a full day of pampering from the minute we walked in the door! The staff was friendly and from our massages to our pedicures we enjoyed exceptional service. For anyone who wants a relaxing experience, I highly recommend it!
