Beautiful, Smooth, and Clean

I live in Washington State and travel to Houston periodically. I was going to be due for a wax while I was in town and all the reviews directed me to Helena's. And what an excellent choice. It is the very best Brazilian I have ever had, in fact I am looking forward to my return trip so that I can enjoy the benefits of a perfect wax.

Specializing in the Brazilian is one of the things that makes Helena's so great. Lots of spas or salons offer Brazilians but they don't do enough of them so mostly they are pretty inexperienced and time consuming and often leave "unseen" hairs. Helena's policy is that it all goes, every last hair, unless you request other wise. I have found a lot of "unseen" hair after waxes elsewhere but not at Helena's. It was perfect and last longer than other waxings. The price is perfect as well. Why pay the same price at a salon that does maybe 2 or 3 Brazilians a week? And if you get up on the waxing every 3 weeks you will be given a price adjustment. You have less hair, they use less wax, totally makes sense.

I am really looking forward to my next trip to Helena's in the coming week.

After a tearful first time in Singapore and painful epilators, Christina was extremely careful and considerate. It did not hurt nearly as much as I expected and I will be back here next moth.

great place to get a Brazilian!!

My sister-in-law told me about this place a few months back b/c i was curious about getting a brazilian wax. I recently talked to her about it and pretty much convinced myself to try one and see if I would like it. I was real nervous when I came in and really didn't know what to expect. But my wax specialist, Brittany, was extremely nice and made my experience relaxing under the circumstances. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a wax b/c its a clean facility, the people know what they are doing and the results are great!

I went there after reading a lot of research and being first time all these reviews helped me a lot. I'm not going to lie, it will hurt no matter how many times you'll go but they'll make sure that you are aware of each step they'll take one by one which will prepare you for the pain. Eda was really nice at making me feel comfortable and I will definitely go there before my wedding for sure.

We are building a new Spa but it will be only 3 minutes from the present location on a great quiet street. It will be located at 5721 Winsome Lane. The new location will be a full service Day Spa offering Waxing, Facials, Massage, Body Treatments, Manicures/Pedicures,Sauna, Swiss Shower and more. We look forward to a spring opening.

Great place for a waxing

This was my first time getting a brazillian and I highly recommend coming here for your next wax. They were everything I was looking for. I had Christina and she was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. She was honnest about which places would hurt the most and she was very thorough. Helena's was also very clean. they also take special precautions to make sure your skin does not become agitated after the wax. I am very satisfied and will return for my next wax

First time wax...lifetime customer!

I was seen by Di...a wonderful professional and a true artist of her craft! She's from Brazil...so she REALLY knows her stuff! If you speak spanish, you'll get the most wonderful conversations sprinkled with portugese here and there. She was very polite, never rude or inappropriate...which was very effective in putting me at ease. I mean, you're already sitting there half naked waiting to get waxed feeling incredibly exposed. The last thing you need is more embarrassment. But Di treated me so amazingly well! I was so comfortable with the whole experience! It was my first time and really had no clue what to expect! As a tattooist, I understand the nerves that come with the anticipation of a painful procedure. But, with the proper bedside manner, even the most skittish can be put at ease. She made me feel safe and secure, was honest about areas I might feel the most discomfort, and was very gentle at every step. She was very detailed and thorough with her work. I'm definitely coming back for more visits! Not having to shave for a month is worth the expense! Oh, and worth the pain...

• Cons: Yes, it hurts...but beauty is PAIN! Get over it!
