Best Shopping Experience Ever! Very Friendly Staff and Beautiful Clothing!
by kcola
This is a wonderful boutique and I recently checked out their website which is fantastic as well gurej dot com. I was in town from Los Angeles for work and visited this great boutique with beautiful clothing and hard to find designers as well. I found the boutique to have a great mix of every day basics to very high end beautiful formal clothing. The staff also made me feel very comfortable and were very helpful without being too pushy or disruptive. Great Houston find!
Awesome customer service and prices!

I really don't understand what the other reviewers are talking about. I recently bought a pair of pants at Gurej that were too long and they had them hemmed for me and delivered to my house by the next morning. The owners are two amazing sisters with the best style in town! They are really sweet and helped me find something to wear to a wedding. They also stayed open well past closing time so that I could take my time to find the right dress. They really do stock the coolest clothes and jeans that you can't find anywere else in Houston and they are up on their trends like true fashionistas. Also, the cross street is Timmons, not Maconda.
- Pros: Couture style clothes at reasonable prices.
- Cons: There's too much amazing stuff!
Worst decor and prices are quite high!

After just visiting this boutique, I was left without anything to buy considering the price points at the store. Also, these lines that are supposedly the most hard to find, I have seen in Nordstroms, Neimans, Saks and a ton of boutiques in the centrally located Houston area. One word of advice, "don't let the owners talk you into buying something you are not sure about."
- Pros: ummmm. . .it's close to my house
- Cons: messy decor and the owners attack you when you walk in
Brings Actual Style to Houston

Gurej is the only store in Houston that carries a large selection of obscure labels that only the most die-hard fashionista would have heard of. Lines include Le Mont St. Michel, Vena Cava, Cacharel, Tsumori Chisato, Erin Fetherston, and more. I am from Paris and I was shocked to see these labels here and even more shocked to see this level of fashion savoir-faire here in Houston. Overall, this is the one of the best stores I've been to in this country and I absolutely love the owners' unerring taste.
- Pros: Like having a personal shopper when helped in store
OVERPRICED - and unwearable clothing
by hannahhuffines
This new boutique is so overwelming, it looks like you are walking into a couture fashion show. There are hard to find fashions but it is not worth it. I live in NY and while visiting I went to the store and I was astounded at how pushy the owners were, when clearly the boutique is not for your average woman. I think only the skinniest models with perfect bodies could wear these clothes. It also seems like the prices are WAY to high!
- Pros: the variety
- Cons: the two pieces of clothing I bought have already fallen apart!
Best array of designers anywhere in the Houston area!
by kbean316
The new boutique, Gurej, showcases designers otherwise unknown to locals in Houston. After living in New York for a year and moving back to Houston, finding stylish and chic clothing was a hard task I faced. That was until I walked into the boutique Gurej, which carries everything from hard to find staples to their own Gurej line, made up of Mongolian cashmere as well as hand made boots. I believe Gurej is a way for the owners, Heather and Margo Harrison to share their fabulous style and excellent eye for hidden treasures with the world.
- Pros: Wonderful Staff
- Cons: Cant think of anything
