Nice place, but no overwhelming

First time in the place, I thought it had alot of potential. After a few more visits, there just isn't anything that "WOW'S" me!!! Average food, expensive drinks, and a very young corwd, may or may not get me to come back!!!
Top notch customer service

The interior is spacious, the ambiance contemporary and hip yet comfortable, the food is rock solid and the bar staff is exceptionally friendly. Just stop in any time for happy hour, on the weekends or for their karaoke on Tuesdays and strike up a conversation. I guarantee you'll be hard pressed to find a more easy going staff. Check the ego's at the door. The steaks on Sundays and Tuesday's are ludicrous. For those of you loyal to the Tavern's fat cuts, give these fat rib eye a run. You'll pat yourself on the gut and back afterward. I've gone back more than a few times and haven't been unhappy yet.
Enjoy stunning views of downtown or hang out inside among homey decor at this casual bar.

In Short
Nestled on the border of downtown and Midtown, this hot spot has wicker furniture, brick floors and granite accents, creating the illusion of hanging out in someone's custom home rather than the average watering hole. Eight large flat-screen TVs make sports watching a treat. The patio is second-to-none, romantically lit, and surrounds both sides, offering plenty of seating options for conspiratorial conversation.
popular sports bar

i wasn't too crazy about this place. a decent sports bar with subpar food, with no character to really seperate it from all the other decent sports bars. the ambience is much to be desired of. although, it is spacious enough to accomodate a large crowd, making it a popular pre-drinking spot as well as it's convenient location from the club district. like i said, it's a great place for a large group to meet up and have some drinks, but that's about it. *
- Pros: location, spacious
- Cons: parking, crowded
Great atmosphere

I checked this place out online and thought it would be your regular sports bar, but in fact I was impressed (not by the view). Great customer service. Not crowded. Large patio and you can go inside if its too humid. Good for week nights or weekends. You can dress casual or semi-dressy. Crowd is mixed.
Sweet spot, sweet view

Excellent place to go on a weeknight after work, since it is not too loud, or on a weekend to party. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Great view, great servers. The atmosphere is excellent.
"Relaxed atmosphere for Happy Hour
by ap06
I met friends on a friday, not crowded, decent margaritas. I liked the plush couch and chairs, had a great relaxed atmosphere. The patio is big, and nice to enjoy the weather. No, you can't see the skyline, but big deal. Food is ok, they have fried pickles, but stay away from the nachos. It's a nice place to unwind.
exquisite atmosphere

Fabulous menu for a sports bar! The hamburgers are delicious and hearty. I like the turkey burger with avocado. Beautiful enclosed outer bar with huge windows overlooking their brick patio, and comfy wicker furniture. I especially like the non-smoking inner bar where you can eat your food and/or breathe in peace. Super and friendyl staff! Ask for Donald the GM, and he's sure to show you a good time ;) I will be going back, again and again and again...
Not impressed
by jengsplaya
When I was browsing the internet for new bars to try, 702 seemed promising. The business had great photos, and the promise of a view seemed ... promising. However, the reality is less glamorous. The bar actually isn't that big. The back portion, which I suppose is ther "restaurant," had no atmosphere ... it seemed like any other sports bar. The front is small and dark. The patio also isn't that roomy. Plus, the skyline is mainly visible to people in the VIP tent, not to everyone else on the patio. For a better view of downtown, go to The Social instead. Another big downside is the view of the surrounding area, which is kind of run down because those properties have not been gentrified yet. The plus side for this place is the relatively chill atmosphere (it's not a meat market environment), and the drinks are fine. This bar is not a bad bar; it just doesn't live up to its advertisement.
- Pros: Good as nondescript sports bar
- Cons: Atmosphere was lacking, view was lacking
