Haircutting God!

I have lived in Houston for almost 3 years now. Changing hairdressers is almost like changing siblings. Both should make you feel good about yourself. I have spent the last 3 years coming out of salon after salon with a know in my stomach as no one knew how to cut my hair or if they did, they didn't listen to my needs and wants! For the first time in three years, I am elated with my hair! ERIC is the Haircutting God! He took time with me, listened to me, took the baby fine texture into consideration and waltzed me right into a great cut. Feels like comin' home! I'm a lifer!
- Pros: ambience, knowledge level, courtesy
- Cons: nary a one!
Erica Baldwin Does Fabulous Extensions

I went to Erica Baldwin for hair extensions and she did a fabulous job. We used 18" HairLoc extensions and they look absolutely amazing!!! Im so excited to have long thick hair!!

i have been frequenting Blue Mambo for 9 months. i go in once a week, and they ALWAYS take great care of me. Chris does the most amazing job with my hair. it is healthy, shiny, manageable, and NEVER frizzy. (a long-awaited miracle) i first visited on a recommendation from a friend and was fortunate to get chris my first time in. since then, he has become a friend and the best stylist i have ever had. i used to pay alot more to get my hair done at another salon, and it never looked as good as it does now. i will never go back to that. thanks chris, eric, david, wesley, and ronnie!! you guys are the best!
- Pros: great people, great atmosphere,innovative and fresh haircuts/color, convenient location
- Cons: i don't have more time to spend there

I was recommended Blue Mambo by a few friends and was told that Chris could give wonderful haircuts. To say the least, I am very disappointed with the results. My hair is very uneven now, and has "layers" that appear randomly and don't correspond to any other ones. I wish I hadn't gotten my haircut at all.
On the upside, Chris was very nice and fun to be around.
Ronnie is THE BEST!

Five years ago when I moved from Chicago to Houston, it took me about nine months and many hair salons before I found Blue Mambo. Soon I had to move to The Woodlands. Ronnie generously gave me a referral to a hair salon in The Woodlands. Three years later and trying almost every hair salon in The Woodlands, I am back to Ronnie at Blue Mambo. There is just no alternative! I do drive all the way to Houston but it is worth it every time. I highly recommend Blue Mambo.

I'm 26 and I have been going to Matt for my hair cuts for about10 years now!!! He has done short, textured cuts to long, layered cuts on me, and I've been MORE than happy with them all!...and I always get compliments!! He is very picky and makes sure my hair is perfect every time! He's very sweet and down to earth and I feel great every time I leave his chair! I seriously can't recommend him enough!!!!!!!

I started going to Chris because of my older sister. He is a really nice guy and I love the way he cuts my hair. He really knows what he is doing and I have never had so many compliments on my hair before. People that don't even know me tell me how much they love my hair!!! Chris is the BEST!!!!!! I recommend him to everyone, I feel so lucky to have him as my hair stylist.

Erika Baldwin is my stylist and is so accomodating. She actually does my hair at 6:15 a.m. in the morning due to my grueling work schedule. Erika has also lifted my self esteem with suggesting and adding hair replacement! I am also pleased with the convenience of getting in and out so quickly (when you walk in the door for your appointment with Erika if on Tuesday morning or Saturday afternoon she is always ready for you)! Blue Mambo (especially Erika) has definitely made a difference in my life!!!!!!!!!

I just moved here from DC were there are a number of Fabulous Hair Salons. Anyhow, I was having a terrible time finding someone to do my hair. I went to Erica and she cut and styled it and did a FANTASTIC job. I love her,, she's very friendly as well as the rest of the staff and I'm so happy I have finally found someone to do my hair.

I just moved back to Houston after being away at college. A friend of mine who goes to Julie C. recommended Blue Mambo to me. I made an appointment with Chris because I read on here that he gives the best haircut in Houston. I have long, thick, very curly hair and he did a great job! He listened to what I wanted and gave me great layers and did some texturizing/thinning. I've been going to him ever since (about 3 times total) and I have referred him to 2 people as well. I have long hair and like to keep it long but sometimes I feel like Chris cuts off a little more than I wanted. The people I sent to him said the same thing but other than that he's great and it was only $45 for shampoo, cut, and blowdry. I would definitely call one-two weeks before you want to go because he's always busy and it can be hard to get an appointment.
- Pros: Very friendly staff, great haircut from Chris!
- Cons: Can't think of any
