If you want terrible service this is your place!
by texaslinds
This bar from the outside looking in is a great place. The door guys are always so nice. And that's where the good things end. If you sit at a table the waitress will eventually find you, then it will take forever to get your drinks. If you sit at the bar you have to be a guy and someone that is well known at the bar to get any kind of service unless you get in their face. I have been twice this month both on sunday's thinking that the service would be better the second go around, boy was I wrong. Sunday is supposed to be happy hour prices all night, wrong! Bottom line the service is TERRIBLE and my friends and I will not be back.
For those that don't know what a real pub is
by ferociousjane
Not too bad of a scene, but there is a cover "band" that has some hits and some misses. This definitely isn't a pub, c'mon guys, you'll find much better AUTHENTIC pubs elsewhere. This is a bar stuck with irish/english paraphernalia on the walls. The prices aren't too bad, way too crowded, with more of an older crowd feel. If you're looking for a place for a 15 min pre hangout, this is the place. Otherwise, couldn't stand staying more than 30 min before i got bored with the crowd and music.
80's cover band lures cougars and divorcees out of hiding
by houstonislame
If you like oppressively loud 80's music and presenting yourself for cougars and divorcees who don't realize they've let themselves go, this is the place for you. If you like watching dancing that's as bad as it is hilarious (done by people who are strangely comfortable with their physically appearance), this is the place for you. Seating can be difficult, unless you're game to strike up a conversation with a self-absorbed, well-off professional who is out of touch with pop-culture. Don't eat the food, bring ear plugs, and prepare to get drunk enough to erase the memory of being there. And yes, it's always like this.
- Pros: your car is parked for free close-by
- Cons: perfect for the deaf and blind
Another great pub
by davesphone00
I usually use this BSP as a carpool meeting place before heading into Houston but sometimes I meet some cool people and stay all night. It's a somewhat older crowd so don't be surprised to find your pops sitting at the bar. I like Irish pubs because they only play songs that I know all the words to. That way I can get drunk and sing along.

British pub import near First Colony Mall draws an easygoing crowd for live music, happy hours and traditional pub fare.
