Service with a smile
by coog78
The waitstaff here deserves high marks; they really attend to you and make your dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. Everything on the menu from the salads to the gnocci to the entrees are tasty. Wine menu is pretty good also. Location in a mall is suprising, but the restaurant is a great surprise! It's no wonder this place has so many global locations in international cities, the food is awesome!
Upscale & Very Personal Service
by thegoddess37
My initial impression of the restaurant- it's just a restaurant in the mall. When I walked through the doors, I saw how upscale the place is, including the diners. The service was magnificent. The waitstaff did not miss a beat (I had more than two waiters serving my party of 2); they came at the right moment, refilled when necessary, etc. I even received a personal, handwritten thank you note from the head waiter for my table a week after my visit. I found the food pricey for Italian, but I would have guessed it would be from the moment I walked through the doors. My friend ordered mussels and pasta (something she said she could make at home), and I simply had tuna tartar (which was a bit too tart for my taste). They have an upstairs, which is apparently reserved for private parties. I would go again to try something else because maybe we didn't order the right things.
- Pros: Service, clean restrooms, the crowd
- Cons: Price
The world-famous restaurant chain brings its upscale Italian fare and exclusive members-only lounge to the Galleria III.

In Short
Well-suited to the upscale Galleria area, it adds Houston to its list of chic international locales including Milan, Monte Carlo, Tokyo and Madrid. Occupying the coveted spot next to Saks, this two-story fine-dining spot features an elegant dining room with seating for 120 and patio for alfresco lunch. Patrons should expect a contemporary yet comfortable dining experience featuring a northern Italian menu. Upstairs, the members-only Private Lounge is a rarified treat for predinner cocktails.
Italian done RIGHT!

Rob and I are always trying new places for dinner, so when we heard about Bice, we decided to try it on Saturday night. Usually we have average service and food - not much to rave about, but Bice put an end to that! Being in the Galleria, we were immediately skeptical, but were blown away! The restaurant is beautiful with a great lounge upstairs to enjoy an after dinner drink and listen to the band play. Prior to that we had the most AMAZING service from Audey, who paid attention to every detail and made us feel as we were the only table in the crowded room. The food was just as amazing! I love gnocci and have tried it in every place in town, and it is the absolute best in the gorgonzola cream sauce! Everything else was perfect from the appetizers to the perfect cosmopolitan and bottle of wine that we shared! Bice has officially become our new place!
- Pros: Extensive Wine list, Romantic, Upstairs Lounge with Entertainment, Knowledgeable Staff
- Cons: None!
Easy to miss

I had lunch here about a month ago when a friend invited me. Otherwise I would never have noticed it was there! The decor is modern yet comfortable, service was good, and food was excellent. I had the caesar salad with the butternut squash ravioli and both were excellent. I cannot wait to return for dinner.
- Pros: Authentic Italian, prompt seating
It's in the Mall...!?
by t_girl_dining
March 2006. It's a surprise to find such an upscale restaurant in a Mall, yet Bice is not far from Macy's or Saks - after all this is the Galleria we're talking about. It's a swank restaurant with modern elegant decor that may seem bright for a romantic dinner. However, it is full of monied couples. The food was excellent - I had the osso bucco and found it so tender, the marrow quite sublime. For dessert, we had the sorbet and the waiter said he'd have the chef add berries. It was a wonderful dining experience!
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service
- Cons: Expensive
Sophisticated Italian!

Simple and delicous... great Italian food. Oso bucco was great... the meat was tender and tasty. Caprese salad was fresh. Portions not large and very light and clean cooking. Decent low priced wine list.
- Pros: Good light food, Modern Decor
- Cons: Noisy Dining Room
