Delish crepes

by luvmi247 at Citysearch

I LOVE the Sweet crepes # 5...the one with strawberries/banana/white chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce....and to top that off I always add a scoop of french vanilla on top! I also like their savory crepes for lunch...the one that's chicken, mushrooms, spinach or whatever...I think it's #1...can't remember. IT beats eating pasta! Just thinking about their crepes makes my mouth salivate! The only downside is parking...especially at night. One time I drove around the area three times trying to find parking (Friday night)....after those several attempts, I ended up just driving ten miles back home!!

  • Pros: CREPES galore!
  • Cons: Small place...parking is difficult at night

Best Crepes in Houston!!

by tara1127 at Citysearch

This small, quaint restaurant has THE MOST AMAZING crepes.....yummy! I love all of them that have chocolate in them. I have yet to find any other place in Houston that makes crepes as delicious as Coco's. You definitely need to try this place.

  • Pros: Crepes, crepes, crepes
  • Cons: too small

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I AM A BIG CREPE LOVER. AS WELL AS COFFEE, WE GO PROBABLY 3 TIMES IN A MONTH GREAT HANGOUT SPOT. EMPLOYEES ARE FRIENDLY, BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL THE FOOD IS GREAT. MY FAVORITE IS THE ALMODINE CREPE, WHICH IS NUTELLA WITH ALMONDS. Great place for Lunch or just a late snack.

  • Pros: THE FOOD!!
  • Cons: parking can be an issue when you go thurs-sat

Great place to hang out

by chaliween at Citysearch

Crepes really were the best. Gelato instead of ice cream are excellent additions to the dessert crepes. Atmosphere was nice, like a good coffee shop. Owner is from Maui, so he uses Kona coffee beans. Quality was great.

  • Pros: Great Crepes
  • Cons: Can't Think of any

Cigar Smoking at CoCo's should be A-No-No

by SyrQ at Citysearch

I use to love this place ! Until, there was this unfavorable aroma that infiltrated my 10am crepe one beautiful fall Saturday morning. The owner was notified by another patron and as par for money-hungry-I don't want to loose any $'s owners--he did not really do anything.

Thus I will not be returning and neither will my 5 friends who were with me.

...and by the way, who smokes a cigar at 10 in the morning?

  • Pros: The customer service is very much lacking.
  • Cons: Great if you love cigar smoke with your breakfast.

tastes great, very filling

by seanandolivia at Citysearch

This casual restaurant and coffee bar with counter ordering perfectly fit the bill for me. The decor is simple, and clean. I am not all that comfortable in some of the other restaurants I found that served crepes, but when I saw all the great reviews of CoCo's I had to check it out. Truly, visually there is really nothing to speak of. It looks slightly more dressed up than a Shipley's Do-Nuts store, and the chairs are not all that comfortable, but the crepes are without words great!!! I had a savory crepe with chicken (which was moist) spinach (which was fresh) and mushroom sauce (which was delicious and smooth). The crepe itself was large and filled with plenty of ingredients. It more than filled me up (and I can eat a lot) I also had a "caramel crisp" coffee drink (caramel latte on ice) which was sweet, but not too sweet and not at all bitter unlike most coffee drinks at that HUGE chain coffee house. Not only will I return, but I have already started telling my friends about how good this place is. If you plan to visit CoCo's...have reasonable expectations. The staff was counter staff, not service oriented, the decor is slightly lacking, but the crepe was wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try a sweet crepe and maybe one of their flavored Italian sodas. Yum.

  • Pros: wonderful food and coffee that is smooth, not bitter
  • Cons: decor, and counter service could be more friendly

Great crepes, service and people watching

by me19 at Citysearch

I recently visited Houston and was taken there. This place has great crepes. I tried the nutella crepe and the strawberry crepe with whipped creme and chocolate and they were absolutely fantastic. The service was great. They were very friendly and attentive. The inside space is a little small but you can sit outside and people watch while you sip on your wine that you can bring with you. The location is really good for people watching. I really enjoyed my visit to Coco's and would recommend this place to anyone in Houston or anyone going to Houston for a visit. You won't be disappointed.

  • Pros: Great crepes, friendly and attentive service and good location for people watching
  • Cons: limited indoor seating space

Best Crepes EVER!

by PrincessLeo at Citysearch

I absolutely adore CoCo's!! They have the yummiest crepes in the whole world.....and I'm NOT exaggerating!! They are soooooo good! CoCo's is pretty tiny but very cozy, they do a realy good job of not making it feel cramped. I really enjoy the intimate setting and delicous assortment of desserts! The staff is always friendly and very accomodating! I go atleast twice a weak...it's actually become like a tradition to go there with my boyfriend! lol, as crazy as that sounds! The atmosphere is great, and I can't wait for the weather to get cooler so we can start sitting outside!! I would recommend CoCO's Crepes to anyone and everyone!! If you haven't been I would honestly consider you a deprived person!! lol

  • Pros: Food, Ambiance, Service
  • Cons: Parking availability

goat cheese panini, hazelnut gelato & coffee

by coahuila at Citysearch

I live in the apartment complex right above Coco's. I am a regular there, and not just because of it's convenient location. There are two things that I believe are INCREDIBLE there, however underrated. Yes, I know it's called Coco's CREPES and crepes are their specialty but you have to give these a try: the goat cheese panini (with sundried tomatoes) and their hazelnut gelato. Simply delicious. I love coffee and I enjoy trying out different roasts. I am not a big fan of calorie-loaded coffee drinks and though I enjoy my coffee without cream or sugar, sometimes I crave something a little sweeter than my regular dark roast. Once, they recommended that I add a little vanilla syrup to my coffee and I LOVED it.

Also, not many people know this but it's B.Y.O.W. (bring your own wine) and the corking fee is $5. It's nice to sit out there on a week/weekend night to enjoy a good bottle of wine from Spec's with a friend or two and people watch. I also love the French music they play (even though I don't understand a thing). I think they play it from a French XM channel. Anyhow, it's nice for a change. Oh, yeah, on the weekends, especially Sunday mornings it may get a little packed and the wait can be more than 10 or 15 minutes. Don't go there if you're in a rush. However, business is usually slower on weekday mornings (which is when I stop by for my morning coffee fix).

Overall good experience.

  • Pros: goat cheese panini & friendly staff
  • Cons: not a good place to study
