I was in the hunt for a wall piece for over my mantel. I wanted something different and uncommon. The people there were so helpful when it came to measuring the pieces they had in stock. I was amazed of the amount of unique items they had there. I even got a large sugarmold for my mantel which was only $30 . The price of everything was amazing. I never thought to save this much money and still walk out with gorgeous pieces. I would highly recommend this business to everybody. These people were so helpful and very kind. They took their time to help me and thats what makes a great business.

Wow these people are great and they run a very unique family business. I have always been contact when new shipment arrives. They have beautiful artwork from Mexico that I have had trouble getting . I have shopped at Barrio since they opened 4 years ago and my house has so many things from Barrio Antiguo that I so love this shop. They just finish making a gorgeous dining table with old Mexican doors. The price was right because the attention I got from this family I may have not received it from any where else. It looks great and they did advise me that i had to hurry and pick out their new doors that had just arrived because people all over town are looking for these doors. Nobody has them but them. They were so helpful that they guided me during the process of deciding which doors would be best. All they required was 50% deposit to custom make my dining table and once completed on the construction side they then guided on what stain I wanted on the table. The young lady even sent me pictures via email on how my table was turning out. I have to say all this was worth my wait 3 weeks only for a dining table because I got what I always wanted. I just placed another order and I now want them to make me a coffee table made from copper. I have seen their work and wow its so wonderful to see this business grow and always making the effort to provide new services. I highly recommend Barrio Antiguo they know what they are doing. You will fall in love with this business and the family.

MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN BUYING FROM BARRIO ANTQUO FOR AT LEAST 3 TO 4 YEARS BACK WHEN THE HEIGHTS HAD WALL TO WALL IRON FURNITURE & SPANISH ART WORK WE WOULD ALSO ALWAYS ASK IF THE FURNITURE WAS FOR SALE THE PRODUCT WAS ON AND BACK THEN THEY DID NOT SELL FURNITURE LIKE THEY DO NOW. WE WOULD USUALLY BUY FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY EITHER HAD IT OR WAS REASONABLY PRICED. WE WOULD 99% OF THE TIME PAY IN CASH, VERY RARELY CHARGE,NEVER HAGLED, WHAT THEY ASKED WE PAID. WELL IT SEEMS ALL IS FORGOTTEN AND OR NOT CONSIDERED WHEN WE WERE LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE TABLE. THEY BUILD ONE OFF DESIGN TABLES WITH EXOTIC WOODS FROM MEXICAN DOORS SALVAGED.THEY PUT US ON THE LIST FOR A PAIR OF LARGE MESQUITE DOORS. WE WERE CALLED WHEN A SHIPMENT CAME IN IT WAS MONDAY NOV.5TH 2007 WE WERE UNABLE TO COME IN UNTILL THE 9TH( THIS IS AFTER EVERYONE ELSE ON THE LIST WAS ALSO CALLED AND GIVEN THE OPPERTUNITY TO PICK OUT A SET) WE PICKED OUT A SET WITH FRANCISO HE DID NOT KNOW THE PRICE AND SAID TO CALL ADRIANNA NEXT DAY. I CALLED ABOUT 10:30A.M. ADRIANNA SAID THE DOORS WERE $920.13 AFTER TAXES. I ASKED IF I COULD PAY IN PAYMENTS FOR THE DOORS 100.00 DEPOSIT(I WAS ON THE ROAD THE WHOLE TIME) OVER THE PHONE TO "SECURE" THE DOORS.400.00 IN PERSON THE NEXT DAY AND 100.00 A WEEK TILL THE PAYOFF OF THE DOORS. WELL IT WAS A DIFFERENT STORY WHEN I GOT THERE ON SUNDAY TO PAY THE 400.00. ADRIANNA'S MOTHER DID NOT LIKE THE PAYMENT DEAL AND CALLED ADRIANNA (RECEIPT WAS ALREADY MADE OUT WITH DEPOSIT DEBITED).HUGO SAID THEY DO NOT DO "LAY-A -WAY" BECAUSE PEOPLE CHANGE THERE MIND LATER. I SAID THAT WAS THE WHOLE IDEA OF SECURING THE DOORS HE HAD NO ANSWER.THE MOTHER GAVE ME THE PHONE TO SPEAK TO ADRIANNA. ADRIANNA ASSURED ME THAT THE DEAL WAS GOOD,BUT THE MOTHER HAD A DISGUSTED LOOK ON HER FACE AND FINALLY SAID SOMEONE OFFERED MORE MONEY FOR THE DOORS AFTER OUR DEAL.SHE SAID SHE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH DEAL. I SAID I'M SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY AND SHE GAVE ME BACK MY DEPOSIT IN CASH. WE WERE VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

I never thought to find furniture there, but Wow I was amazed by their quality wood work and how they use old doors to make dinning tables. I saw a dinning table there that I had to have. I went to so many furniture stores around town and it seemed that every store had the same style. For the quality and great price I got there I got a one of kind piece that I am extremely satisfy. Everybody there were great that I highly reccomend this business to everybody.

They have a lot of everything from Mexico. Their prices are great and best of all they are in the Houston city limits (Heights). A variety of home accents, iron wall pieces, & Texas Stars are the BEST. You will have fun shopping here and you will feel as if you are in Mexico.
