Very good indeed !!

I have been to Italy many times and I can tell you that this place really does it for me. I have tried almost all of the entres and desserts and I am in awe.
I am a regular at this place...probably two or more times a week. Many times, I have been present after closing hours and have witnessed the employees literally going over every inch of the place in order to clean it for the following day.
I just experienced the Italian cake yesterday and I thought I was in Heaven. The same is true of the cheesecake and fruit tarts.
The fish is devine and the sauces that accompany the various dishes are a scrumptious delight. I could not say more.
They have a salad station where a woman creates your salad for you from an assortment of greens and other accompaniments. From capers to olives the sky is the limit. And all of the dressings are made daily. This place is "the deal".
I am so glad to see a success in this new plaza in Town and
Country.
Give it a shot and tell me what you think !!
Your gonna love it !! Bon Apetite
- Pros: food, service, quality and cleanliness
- Cons: Closing hours
Simply, the best!

I usually never give anything a 5 star rating, but with Pronto Cucinino I could not find much wrong with them! The restaurant gives the feel of an Italian La Madeleine. You order at the register and they bring your food to the table you are sitting at. The chicken Alfredo is delicious, fresh, and has a perfect Alfredo sauce. The pizza was a bit crispy for my tastes, but my son had that so I just had a bite of his (pizza is not my thing to begin with, so that's that). The Cesar salad was excellent; even with the capers in it, it tasted good. The cokes from the fountain are perfect (a lot of places' cokes seem too syrupy or too carbonated). The garlic mashed potatoes are a must, and the cheese cake is good. We split our meal, and their portions are not large. We ended up spending about $20.00 for two adults and a child.
The chocolate cake is good, but the coffee in it should be omitted; as it leaves a weird aftertaste. Overall I was very pleased with this place and plan on many more returns!
- Pros: Excellent food, fresh, clean restaurant.
- Cons: Parking needs improvement, pizza is a bit too crispy
Great salads!
by Jeannemp at Citysearch
est salads, great tasting Italian, and just the right proportions! Although we live in Pasadena, we spend as much time in Houston as we can as we love the city. We were so happy to locate such a neat place to eat a good meal.
- Pros: Best Salads-choice of size.
- Cons: None
Best Fresh-casual Italian fare at a great price!!
by Jeffrey07 at Citysearch
I have been to many restaurants inside the Loop, but there are not many as good as this one. The prices are low and the quality of the food excellent. The signature Roasted chicken is as good as it gets and the mashed potatoes with garlic taste as good as any homemade recipe I've ever tasted. The salads are original and fresh and can be served as a starter or as an entree. I always add either the grilled salmon or shrimp! The pasta isn't out of a box and the Italian sausage tastes hand-made. Eggplant parmigan is my favorite. The casual service (order at the counter) should not be confused with fast-food. This concept is awesome and the decor and ambiance is upbeat. This is a must if you're in the Montrose area!!
- Pros: Value and food quality for the money.
- Cons: none
1 out of 15 times
by thookham at Citysearch
1 out of 15 times have I had a bad experience here. On that occasion, I ordered the steak, when it came out ( not so pronto), I was amazed to taste such poor quality at such a reputable restaurant. I asked fro another one and the waiter questionlessly obliged. I was happy to see that another one came out (this time more pronto) and when I tasted it, it was great.
I would and have recommended this restaurant to any lover of inexpensive yet real and somewhat traditional food. If you want more traditional food, try one of Pronto's sister restaurants, Vincents.
- Pros: speed, price, meal consistency, quality
- Cons: line, rush hour times, loud crouds
Excellent Food, Great Environment
by danes75 at Citysearch
Pronto has some of the best Italian fair in Houston. Quick service, relaxing environment, and the patio is nice during those few weeks in the Spring and Fall when its bearable to dine alfresco. We've always had great service and helpful staff. The specials are always a nice experiment too.
I've found the portions are the perfect size. Yes, they are served on a big plate, but we always leave with take-home containers. When you consider they should be the size of an average closed fist, the portions are right on.
- Pros: Great food, quick service, helpful staff
- Cons: None
Good food, small portions
by pilotjosh25 at Citysearch
I really enjoy Pronto. The food is delicious and served up quickly. The location is good as well. The only downside to Pronto is the portion size. If you have a big appetite you will most likely leave here hungry. I still recommend it though.
- Pros: Tasty food, quick
- Cons: Small portions
The SALAD omygoodness! To-die-for. Must try.
by garfinkel at Citysearch
This is about the most creative, delicious salad I've ever had anywhere. Never ate anything bad there at all. Pizza by the slice is great.
Ladies, bring a shawl or a sweater, the air conditioning is on high all the time.
Easy to get to, adequate parking, adequate seating -- outside if you want to.
- Pros: The SALAD!!!!!!!!!!
- Cons: A/C is very cold.
great takeout place
by tx07 at Citysearch
While this place does not exactly live up to its claim that it is as good as it's parent places, Ninos and Vincents, for the price and type of restauarant it is, it is really good! I love the curbside pickup, they always come out promptly and the food is always hot and fresh. The lasagna is excellent. I am glad this place moved into my neighborhood.
- Pros: curbside pickup, good food
- Cons: none
Great weekday dining
by rachaelg at Citysearch
I love this place. The food is yummy, the service is great, and best of all -- you can pick your dinner up curbside and take it home to eat. The rolls are awesome, and I highly recommend the lemon chicken. Yummmmmmmmmm!!
- Pros: great food, good value, curbside pickup
