Best Salon in Houston

I went to SOK for the first time this weekend. I followed Sean over there from another salon. I referred my mom, and went with her to her appointment. I was very impressed! The salon is very open, clean, and hip. The staff is super friendly, everyone has a smile on their face, and they make you feel so welcome. You can even sit back and have a glass of wine while you wait for your appointment! If you go, ask for Sean, he is a superb stylist and colorist. I trust him to do whatever he thinks will look good, and it always does! My mom enlisted him with that trust as well, and walked out saying it was the best cut she has ever had. While she was getting her hair done, I had a scalp treatment, shampoo & conditioning with Mark. All I can say is...WOW. I learned so much about the current health of my hair, and how to correct the damage that has been done. At the wash station, I felt like I was at a spa; the chairs are massage chairs, and Mark massaged/stimulated my scalp (not just a standard wash). Afterwards, Sean gave me a blow out and style. Honestly, my hair has never looked or felt so beautiful and healthy. Sean and Mark are very professional, yet personable. My mom and I will be clients of Sean's from here on out, and we will refer every one we know to SOK Salon to see Sean and Mark!

Wonderful experience!

Tish did a great job! She knew exactly what I wanted in color. She is definitely an expert colorist! Tish was very pleasant and professional. I'm looking forward to my next appointment. Love the massage chairs when you get your hair washed!

This Curly Girl Got Carved & Sliced by the Best!

True fact: I have only been to a salon 3 times in my life....and I'm almost 27 years old. I guess it's true what they say, "The third time is a charm" and whatever qualms I've had in the past about not being treated wonderfully in salons was put to rest.I was warmly greeted by Nicole and given time to prepare myself for my pampering. Then I met my stylist Vanessa. I swear she has one of the warmest personalities I have ever encountered. She made me feel right at home and we talked as if we have known each other for years! I came in to get the Ouidad Carve & Slice, and she balanced my kinky curls and coils to absolute perfection! I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking into getting a great cut and friendly service to Vanessa and SoK Salon.

Looking for a good ombre effect go to Tish!!

On a whim I found Sok Salon on Kirby and decided I needed something different for my 21st birthday. I walked in and got an appointment an hour later! Tish was amazing!!! I have to say I have never had a stylist that never skipped a beat during the four hours it took to do my hair! It normally doesn't take that long for the ombre effect but I wanted platinum blonde and I have a lot of hair, and she made it look just like I had explained. Between the mimosas, scalp message, and best hair color ever I have no reason to find another stylist!! Will definitely be recommending her to my friends :)

TISH IS AWESOME!!!

I went to Tish on Saturday to get highlights, color and a trim for my wedding this Saturday and this was my first time with her. I was nervous to try a new stylist right before my wedding, but I wasn’t happy with the salon I had been at because they rushed through you and the end product looked horrible! NOT the case with Tish. She spent so much time working with me, offered mimosas through the appointment and made my hair look the best it has looked EVER. I am super picky and Tish really lived up to everything I wanted and more. Will definitely be back :)

I love my stylist! I moved to Houston 3 years ago and began my journey of finding the right stylist. I searched high and low - even committing my time and money to "the hair salon" in my area. Each visit, I walked away feeling defeated and unsatisfied. Then I walked into SOK and was immediately put at ease when I shared my story with the receptionist. He immediately hooked me up with Vanessa. Her hours are convenient. My appointment time is dedicated to me - no double booking or overlapping. And I absolutely have a great time while I am there. I have been seeing Vanessa for a little over a month now and in that time I have had my hair cut (into the cutest bob) and dyed (first time ever) - that's how much I trust her judgement and expertise. I have finally found my stylist! Thanks Girl!

I walked in with a mess of color and damage and came out looking fab! Tish was awesome the whole time, got a blanket for my lap while I was colored and washed and served me a glass of wine. But most of all the hair color and cut are fantastic!!!

TISHA IS THE BEST

I came into the salon with boring long stringy hair. Tisha gave me the best cut I've ever had before. She put a few highlights in my hair that I am so happy with. Not too blonde. A really pretty color. Nice ambiance in this salon and they don't try to shove products down your throat. Will def. Be back. Nice and cool in there too!

I came into SOK with out a clue how I wanted my hair styled but I knew I wanted a change. After talking with my new favorite stylist Tisha, she totally put me at ease and gave me the BEST scalp massage and hair style ever. never going anywhere else again! ... Thank You SOK !!
