Beautiful Spa, Relaxing Atmosphere
by CV1 at Citysearch
I enjoy my experience every time I visit the Spa at Nordstrom. One of my favorite services is the pedicure. Each manicurist there is amazing, talented, and so very sweet. The pedicures are so detailed and relaxing that sometimes I find myself falling asleep from being so relaxed. I wake up to perfectly painted toes and thoroughly revived feet. Everyone that assists you there is so kind and always has a smile on their face. I can't think of a more welcoming Spa with such genuinely nice people. I have also had several facials and massages that were just wonderful. I highly recommend this Spa to anyone who is looking for a fabulous experience.
Dirty Spa, Unpolished Staff
by TBStone at Citysearch
This was my first visit to this spa. I was very disappointed because I expect so much from the Nordstrom company. The reception area couch is dusty. As I was waiting for my appointment time, I browsed the shelves looking at product and there was so much dust on the glass shelves and boxes of product. It was such a turn off I stopped looking. There was this flamboyant older black man with platinum blonde hair at the front desk talking loudly and unprofessional to other staff members. Also there is this other guy that has red liver splotches all over his face and an un-groomed wild beard that really turned me off. They offered me tea or water but from what I had seen so far, I did not trust that the glass would be clean or the tea would be safe. Once I was taken back by my therapist, who was very polite, she escorted me to the dressing area and gave me a locker and key and a robe and slippers. My robe had a hole on the collar of it and my key would not lock my locker. The therapist also had to clean out the dressing room before allowing me to go inside. After getting dressed in my robe and slippers, she walked me down the hall to the resting area and did a foot soak with this old looking steel bowl. It was not quiet or relaxing as you can hear staff coming from the back room laughing and talking loudly and you can hear the toilet flush. There was towel lint in the carpet in spots and water marks on the tables and on the old magazines they had. Who wants to read parents magazine in the spa? The massage was great but at checkout, noone asked me how my service was. I was told what my charges were and asked how much did I want to leave for a tip. I graciously, paid and got out of there. I will never return or refer anyone to this place.
I was very disappointed.
- Pros: looks nice at first glance
- Cons: dusty furniture, scary, gross looking guy at front desk
Amazing Massage Experience
by annieg at Citysearch
I have been having problems with my neck and shoulders for a while and trying out several different places. I had never been before but, under the recommendation of a friend, decided to make a last minute appointment there. My massage therapist was Jamie, who was incredible. The whole experience was great. I paid the same price as most spas around the area, but received five star treatment... heating pad around my shoulders before and after, a complimentary foot soak before my massage. Spa Nordstrom provided me with a truly wonderful experience.
- Pros: Courtesy of the staff, Availability, Ambience
- Cons: In a mall
Cafe Bistro is a hidden gem!!!
by checkerhead at Citysearch
I recently discovered the hidden gem of Nordstroms.....which is the Cafe Bistro restaurant inside the department store. It is a cute little place with a quaint and private atmosphere. Very low key compared to all the other eateries within the galleria. And the food is absolutely delish! The cilantro shrimp salad is a must try, and the bistro club is great......oh, and the fries along with the olive aioli is wonderful!!
- Pros: quaint, relaxing, great food
Fabulous Facial!
by DavidJulian at Citysearch
I had never visited this Spa before (I was actually recommended by a colleague that I met at a Spa Conference), but I'm surely glad that I did this time. When I called for information and booking I was pleasantly greated by Rachel and her tone in her voice was very warm and inviting. I was lucky to get an appointment that same day. When I went in Rachel welcomed me just as if we were old friends. I had booked a Facial with Monica and let me tell you from start to finish I felt like I was on Cloud 12 because the experience was way better then Cloud 9. I would recommend all of my friends to this spa, and definetly to go visit Rachel and book and appointment with Monica.
- Pros: Customer Service, Attention to Detail in Skills
somply the best

ANYONE WHO HAS EVER HAD MUCH OF AN EXPERIENCE WITH NORDSTROMS KNOWS THERE IS NONE OTHER LIKE THEM. FOR AN UPSCALE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE... I DO HAVE TO PAY FOR FINE CLOTHING (&THINGS) ANYWHERE BUT AT NORDSTROMS THE STAFF IS NOT SNOBBISH THEY ARE VERY FAIR IN THEIR DEALINGS, ALWAYS RETURN THINGS REGARDLESS OF THE REASON OR PROBLEM... I COULD NEVER SAY ENOUGH!
- Pros: EVERYTHING
- Cons: NOTHING
Best Massage!
by chlewis77008 at Citysearch
Jorge gives the best massages! I've followed him around Houston for quite a few years and I'm happy he's stayed with Spa Nordstrom.
Jorge remembers what you like and don't like in a massage. Although it's a nice experience, I typically skip the foot bath to get right to the massage. There have been times when I have to sit in the meditation room afterwards because I'm too tired to drive. It wears off soon enough, but that's how relaxed I get when Jorge massages me.
Can't say enough about him. Also, he's just a really nice guy.
- Pros: Jorge
- Cons: Room can get a little cool
Legendary service, shoes to die for and fashion-forward merchandise keep shoppers returning.

In Short
Founded as a Seattle shoe store in 1901, this popular chain is now known for manageably priced designer duds. Shoppers find a hint of sophistication in the store's white floors and pianists on baby grands. Unique departments include the Brass Plum juniors' section with Ruby Rox and Diesel, and Studio 121 for career-savvy women. A business-centric men's clothing department offers Ben Sherman suits, while relaxed styles from Marc Jacobs and Lacoste are in The Rail department.
from good to bad

I used to come to this spa because I received good services--facials and massage until tonight. The person doing my facial was unfriendly, and when she took me back she wanted to start the facial right away ,and then offhandedly told me if I like I can change and do the foot soak . There wasn't a robe for me to change into, and then there was no place for me to put my things so she told me to keep my bag with me, I had to ask her if I could put my things in the room. The foot soak wasn't aromatic at all, it was barely warm, and the girl came back, put a towel on the floor and told me to put my feet on there and then left. I had to then dry off my feet, and when she came back she just stood there in front of me not saying anything. She then held out her hand, and I gave her the towel, and she turned around and walked off. I've had these facials before, but this was very painful. The cleansing was fine, but the actual facial she missed the troubled areas, she did a couple of extractions (which she made clear in her tone she didn't want to do) and it was so painful I had to tell her to stop. She then started telling me it was because of my cycle, which it isn't according to her timeframe. She then used the pulse machine, and she kept lifting it up and putting it back down onto my skin shocking me every time she did it as opposed to putting it down and moving it across the skin. At the end of the facial, my skin felt dirty, I looked greasy and I had puffy lumps on my forehead which I've never gotten before. To add insult to injury, when I got home to check my mail, a man in the mail room commented on my visible pores and how I should get a facial (this was only 45 minutes after the facial), which is extremely embarrassing. It's now been 5 hours since I had the facial and my skin still hurts, and I look extremely greasy as though I rubbed vaseline on it. If this is a sign of how facials are now, definitely go elsewhere; it isn't worth the money nor the time.
- Pros: good massages, nice atmosphere
- Cons: this last facial and the girl doing it were horrific
